Here's a list of 13 non-matchmaking recommendations that could improve Destiny

To start with, I'm going to avoid talking about anything on Bungie's "We've seen you asking about this" list located at https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/114521210/0/0 (so I won't be talking about matchmaking, other than to say that you can see my recommendations for it at https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/120310290/0/0 if you are interested; try not to bring up matchmaking if you comment on this thread). Many of these ideas have been posted elsewhere, either by others or myself. Feel free to add links to those ideas in the comments But these are the things that I think would go a long way towards improving the game (no particular order of preference): (1) In-game grimoire - Give us a terminal or something so that we don't have to go to an outside source to actually find out the lore of this game. From what I've heard, it is actually pretty deep, but I know that I wouldn't end up reading it on the website, but I might read it if I were in the game. You could even have the lore cards show up on the loading screens instead of the current "ship flying through space" screen that we have. Enough other games do it that way that it wouldn't seem out of place. (2) Actual clan support - Outside of two trophies/achievements, you could skip being in a clan entirely and not really miss anything. There isn't really any benefit to being in one directly and, like with the grimoire (and matchmaking), you have to go outside of the game to do anything. Instead, it would be nice to have a friends list on the roster page that was automatically populated with your clan members and that treated them as friends. Among other things, that would allow you to easily add them to your friends list, but it would also immediately give you access to playing with them as soon as you join. (3) Organize the Roster page - I have no idea how it is currently organized. Even organizing it alphabetically would be an improvement. However, I'd recommend having it organized by activity - whether story, strike, raid, crucible, or special event. You want us to play together, but it is currently very difficult to do so. (4) Make it easier to see what our friends are doing - To piggyback on the last point, it would be very nice if the actual activity were to be displayed under someone's emblem when you hover over their name on the roster page, rather than requiring a separate click. Also, instead of saying "X friends are doing this activity", it would be very helpful if, somewhere, you could see which friends are doing it without having to click through every single name. You could make it so that, once you've selected a mission and level, the emblems of friends currently in that activity are shown on the left-hand side of the launch screen or there could be an option to "Show friends in this activity". (5) Make emblems and shaders unlockables - Instead of having them take up our limited inventory (and vault) space, make it so that, once we've unlocked them, we can then use them whenever we want. As a side note, it would be very nice if the different faction vendors sold their shaders, even if they required 200 of each mark. They drop too rarely upon leveling up. (6) More vault space (a lot more, really) - With the House of Wolves update, you added 4 complete sets of armor for POE as well as armor for performing well in Trials of Osiris. Combine that with things like the fact that each class has 5 exotic helmets and the existence of two previous sets of raid gear and we don't have enough room on our characters to actually hold our armor. That doesn't even include the fact that the previous DLC separated out the raid arms into three categories - criticals, grenades, and melee. Then there's etheric light that lets us make pretty much everything viable and there's suddenly almost no room left. (7) Remove stack limits - This would go a long way towards helping with Vault space. I can somewhat understand stack limits for items that are supposed to be rare (such as treasure keys), but why there is a limit of 200 for plantetary materials or even 100 for synths (better than 20, but still) makes no sense to me. (8) Separate cooldowns for synths - Even if you keep them at 5 minutes each, using a special weapon synth should not affect your use of a heavy weapon synth. Telemetries all have separate cooldowns, so why don't synths? (9) Cooldown notification for synths and glimmer items - Putting a timer in the area where buff notifications (such as Weapons of Light, or hunters' precision buffs) show up would be helpful. If nothing else, you could set it up so that the time shows up when you've got a certain amount of time left, whether that is 1, 5, or 10 minutes. This could be something that could be toggled in the menu screen. (10) Skippable cutscenes - If I'm doing an activity and come across a cutscene that I've seen before (such as "We've woken the Hive!" or the end of the first Venus mission), let me skip it. You could also put in a terminal somewhere where you could view past cutscenes (call it a "Memory terminal" if you want and say it lets you relive memories). (11) More bounties - I like the Queen's bounties, but would like them even more if they showed up more frequently. I'd also like to see Varicks have bounties for Prison of Elders, especially since that levels up so slowly. Additionally, more bounties for PVE (including specific weapon type kills or other things that might make you explore a bit more) and PVP would be nice. (12) Dedicated servers - Dedicated servers would help most in PVP (and reduce cheating), but they'd also help with consistency in PVE. It would be expensive, but they'd help greatly. (13) Statistics on the website - I'm not talking individual statistics, but rather general statistics for the population. They've been given out in limited quantities in the past and this would just be something interesting to see. To be fair, the heat maps that have been in the updates since Trials of Osiris is part of what I'm thinking of, but I'd like to see things like "Most popular weapons" for both PVE and PVP with a ranking of the top 10 of each category (primary, special, heavy), both with and without exotics included (with percentage of use included). It would also be nice to see things like how many accounts were active in a week or what the distribution of players is, both across platforms and as far as classes and levels go. This is a personal thing and I'd just be curious to see various trends. ------- Overall, I like the game. This isn't intended as a complaint thread, but rather is meant to state a number of things that I think could greatly improve the game if implemented.
