  • You do realize, this is a true expansion, and destiny calls the other two dlcs "episodes" right? Still doesnt tell me what YOU know. Its what some one else has said.

  • Again, I feel like you keep side stepping what it is I'm saying. I get that you are a fan of Destiny. I do. But the blind devotion starts to look a little...disturbing, after a while. Both Dark Below and House of Wolves were labelled as "expansions" and that is why people didn't mind spending that much money for them. However, both were obviously not, in any way, shape or form deserving of being called such. Based on past history, we already know Bungie has an obvious brain defect when it comes to pricing the value of their content. Perfect example, $20 for the digital content from the Collector's Edition. They price value 3 emotes, 3 class items and 3 shaders at the exact same price as both Dark Below and House of Wolves. There's the pure consumer point of view for you. We also know that Bungie likes to make you grind for hours, days, weeks and months and then count that time for the total playtime of the content. Which is a farce. Of all the time I have spent on Destiny, 70% of it has been devoted to grinding, and no I did not enjoy myself during that time because I could have easily been playing something else instead. But I felt required to do it in order to get the things I wanted. And at the end of that road, once Dark Below dropped it was all rendered ultimately pointless, thus resulting in me quitting the game. Not taking a break, flatout quitting. It just so happened I had purchased the Expansion Pass at the Midnight Release of the game itself which included House of Wolves, and the Etheric Light was the ONLY reason I returned. And that goes for many others as well, as I have explained numerous times now. I don't like how quick to forgiveness you are. Its illogical. Even if you are a "fan" of Destiny, what you do and say makes little sense. I mean, you sound like an intelligent person, so you should easily be able to deduce the major flaws and problems with the series and understand everything I have been saying. In fact, what I am saying is all based on fact, so in truth you should be saying the same stuff I am, which is just odd that you aren't. I shouldn't have to explain any of this to you. The only argument you keep posing to me is that no one knows what will be in this new expansion. And that is true, and you know that to be true which is why you keep tossing it at me. But that point you are making is a double edged sword, because YOU don't work at Bungie and so YOU don't know what will be in TTK either. At which point, all we have to go off of is as I said, past experience. And past experience with Bungie and this game is NOT good, at all. That is as much a fact as you saying no one knows what will be in the next expansion. Bungie themselves even said that they made considerable mistakes with the Dark Below and apologized for it. Etheric Light was one of the things they tried to do to make amends for that because after Dark Below, their pre-order sales were horrible and Destiny was receiving a crap load of negative publicity and poor reviews. But Destiny shouldn't have to be in THAT bad of a condition for them to finally decide to do something. And now that House of Wolves got our attention back? And a lot of those who left the community started to come back? They need to NOT -blam!- it up. Unfortunately, they are -blam!-ing it up with TTK, because the pricing is total and utter nonsense. It adds insult to injury, and the Luke Smith interview blew the lid off it. And the ONLY thing that they could do for us was to give us MORE shit to buy, instead of just GIVING that digital content to people for free as apart of the $40 purchase of TTK as an apology. Nothing Bungie has done or said actually shows them as being sincere about being sorry to anyone. Its all just PR crap with the usual circle jerk for the game to try and snag you with hype. But the only ones that are going to fall for that are the morons or new players or those who haven't picked up the game yet and will be able to take advantage of the Legendary Edition.
