I'd say 100 marks for one light since that is the weekly cap. Your model requires two weeks of work to get two light. That is too much of a grind. If we reach the weekly cap of 100 marks earned, that means we've put in a lot of hours that week. So, 100 marks for one light.

 • I'll say to you what I said to someone else:
This might make it too cheap for Bungie to consider implementing. I believe that it has to be expensive and time consuming, since this method is circumventing end game content to an extent, or Bungie will not even consider it. If it's too cheap than it would possibly pull players away from PoE or ToO as your method would garner 24 a month where as my method would only be 12. I think the only way this works is if it is implemented as a supplemental way to get Etheric Light. If it is viewed as a direct alternative to the new end game content than I see no way it even gets considered.
• The grind for pathetic rewards is driving people away from Destiny ... period. Bungie either reduces the grind, or creates rewards that make the grind worth while. Otherwise player attrition will continue and the Destiny sandbox will be as empty as a Sahara desert dune field.

 • Dude, I don't disagree on any particular point. I'm also interested to see if they stick to their "10 years with the same gun is boring" statement and the belief that players have that once TTK drops our old gear will be obsolete and incapable of being upgraded to the new levels.

 • Yeah, I love my Fatebringer and I don't think anything will change that. Been playing Halo since 2001 and I'm still not bored with the assault rifle. The "playing with the same weapons is boring" crap is just another example of Bungie dictating to us how we play. Still have not ordered TTK and I have no intention of doing so based on their announcements so far.

 • I have a lot of fond memories of the original Halo. I turned 21 in 2002 and we would drink beer and play Halo until the wee hours of the morning. We waited in line for Halo 2 and it blew our minds when they introduced Xbox Live and we started playing PvP online. I was as horrible at PvP back then as I am now. We had a buddy who was so bad at Halo: CE that he wouldn't play unless we turned on the infinite grenades in the playmode. He'd sit on one side of the map and just throw grenade after grenade. He was pretty awful. Ah, the good old days.
