If you're saying that the Taken King should be $20 then I couldn't agree more. They are taking advantage of us. And that is because we are letting them. We have power as consumers, a power that is lost by the apathetic attitude of "I make enough; the difference between $20 and $40 or $80 or $100 is ultimately insignificant to me." While this is true for many, including myself, it's irresponsible to give up that much power and especially to make that a common practice. It's not a case of not being able to afford the purchase, which much of us [i]can[/i] and probably [i]will[/i]. What's disappointing is that it seems the industry is trending in this direction more and more. It's indicative of a market where the consumer loses sight of what is right for them and gets too absorbed in the hype and immediacy of a novel phenomenon. Of course, made worse when it is the product itself. The point is it's not necessarily about what's happening now, it's about what will happen in the future and what we, as consumers, can do to participate and have a real voice. Put Destiny AND BUNGIE on a level playing field with other games and developers [b]at this moment[/b], and just think about it. With all of that in mind, and more, [b]my personal choice[/b] will be to WAIT and see what the Taken King is like. It's easy at this point to get absorbed in some of the GREAT games that are coming out this summer/fall. I guess you could say I'm just not ready to "throw my money at the screen" yet. And y'know what? Based on their business model, and on my "assessment of the value of the content", I'm thinking it's WAY better to just play some other games and wait for the next DLC bullshit bundle so I can decide if I want to get everything for cheaper!
