It doesn't matter. At the core it was the same religion. The soldiers were fighting in a holy war that was sanctioned by the church all in the name of God

  • That doesn't make a damn bit of difference. It doesn't matter what the popes, lords, and peasants were. The crusades were wars based off religious persecution. It's that simple. The Catholics wanted the land so they tried to take it from the Muslims. They called it a holy war and used God as a justification to do it.
