You have no social activity outside of purple ball time.
You are still wearing the same clothes since beta.
You order Red Bull to be delivered to your house for codes.
Your mom calls you guardian (eg: "Here's some more dorritos my little guardian! Maybe later we can try to set up your Match profile so you can give me grandchildren?")

I have to say one of my favorite moments with this game was Atheon cheese. I joined a group to do the Atheon and this guy takes off as Atheon spawns and proceeds to push him off with solar grenades. I think he was the only guy who knew about it because the rest of us were all laughing and cheering as we watched Atheon drop off. Good times for all of us who experienced the first big cheese.

None of those things have anything to do with day 1 players. Only gamers that ignore life to fill thier addiction. Youre a true day 1 player if you: Bought gjallerhorn from zür Know why you can disturb remains in that cave on venus (yes i do know why, that beautiful cave gave me my first legendary gun) Remember having only 5 bounty slots Watched atheon fall off his perch Remember how the templar used to be so scared of solar nades Waited far longer for public events to spawn Cursed the suros in crucible (along with shadow price and many othe op auto rifles) And many more!

A day 1 player doesn't need an emblem or reason to be a day 1 player they just are .

Well I think "day 1 players" are exactly what it sounds like, "someone who has been playing Destiny since the first day of launch." Beta/Alpha players are people have done the above and played the beta/alpha respectively. Veterans, in my opinion, would be at least a day one player OR someone who has played before TDB. Someone who played when the level cap was 30 and they completed the hardest challenge at that time, hard mode Atheon. Someone who was actively playing while the loot cave was an option. Someone who farmed chest for materials because there was no quicker or better way. And on top of all that, they still played through TDB and HoW.

When you no longer play the game as it's the most monotonous, repetitive and unrewarding game you have ever played. With the added extra of having to pay for the game again and again every six months. I wish I never bought it in the first place, I'm embarrassed to be a day one player with a season pass. May aswell print RETARD on my forehead and start pouring my money down the drain.
