ToO is Destiny's biggest mistake. By attaching the greatest rewards to a pvp encounter they have brought out the worst in people. I am convinced they put in ToO because they thought it would help satisfy people's complaint over lack of content with minimum effort/resources/money on the programming/game design side. I thought the whole reasoning for the crucible was to sharpen our skills for the fight against the darkness. Why are we spending so much time on PvP instead of reclaiming our lands against evil? Also the "hard" raids are not very hard. I think they are still fun but going 9-0 requires a bit of luck for the average player. You are 1 wifi hickup away from losing it at anytime.

  • This. ToO was absolutely created as a cheap, low development time alternative to actual content. ToO was originally planned to be like the iron banner. Instead, it was packaged as a major component of HoW, with the best gear tied to it. It's not fun, and it really is out of place in this game. All the problems with nerfing guns and imbalance stem from trying to attach PvP to an FPS rpg mmo. PvP and PvE should be totally separated in the game, but with ToO Bungie just embraced the imbalance.

  • OH my gawd finally someone intelligent enough to see just what TOO has created in this community. Destiny and especially the forums were cool before ToO, nows its a bunch of tough-guy arrogant, I'm super-elite because I have a flawless trials run, teenage dbags. All the cool guys I raided with, and did tons of weekly events with moved on because they had no interest in a game with an ENTIRE DLC focused on PVP gameplay which none of us enjoyed. Its funny seeing OP complain about having to do a hard raid, yet they DAILY insult the skill of PVE players and insult us shooting at "computer controlled enemies".
