Bungie teased us with a possible new Level cap. Possibly the most insanity Bungie has ever thrown our way. Tell me what you think because my mind is B-B-BLOWN!

Edited by TheMilkman: 7/9/2015 6:42:25 AMCan't tell this satire, but that's not the real light level it was a beta for TTK to prevent the people who was playing during the interview from dying so easily. The actual game will start out with existing guardians as lvl 20 and they will need to lvl up to 30 regularly without light. After lvl 30 it will continue with light to lvl 50.
-
It was just a test ...
-
Who cares ... there won't be a good, well told story anyway. One never earns anything in Destiny. Everything is based on freaking luck thanks to the almighty RNG. Those mechanics exist to make players addicted so they keep on grinding and willingly hand their money to Activsions. The level cap is pointless.

Edited by Zodiarkflow: 7/9/2015 4:51:56 AMThink of it this way: the level 483 warlock is calculated as a level 48.3, and the titan is a level 39.5... This makes it a lot more understandable.
-
Pretty sure that it's just light level so 483 would be 40.25
-
Vault of glass fresh run on hard Must have gally Grimore over 3k Level 468 Guardians only please. Add name above. ^
-
The new light cap is going to be 50. The new soft cap is going to be 30. They already said this (somewhere?)
-
Again place holder stats? Bump? Last time they did this too :)
-
It's not photoshopped they were released by bungie in a test build showing off the new patrol area in the dreadnought however these numbers are just placeholders and have no real value
-
Okay so existing base level is 20, plus we have 14 additional light levels as of right now. Add ten more levels to the base level for the extra sub-class, which would be 30, then add our 14 light levels back on, and we have 44. So really its just a matter of adding a few light levels, seems to be legit.
-
Lmao, your reaction to the light level in hundreds was hilarious. I needed that at 6 in the morning. Thankyou. Good vid.
-
You look beautiful today
-
That's most likely not the new light cap xD it's probably just there for testing out new content
-
You need to go Flawless in Trials 9 times in a row to get a piece of armor with 420 Light
-
You do realize they've already said that year one gear wont be upggradable, nor will they be expanding the vault. If I'm not mistaken this could be a part of the goal Deej pointed out to make us move on from our old gear. Just hope I'm wrong, I like my Fatebringer and want to keep it, if I buy the TTK. But I do want to know what the idea is behind raising the base level cap to 30. Is this to control the imprtance of damage outputs and armor rating? Will it make old gear equal to blue items now? Frankly, I don't trust these guys these days.
-
Destiny is changing from light levels to an item level/gear score system. Thank. God. Light level is dumb.
-
They're apparently raising the base levels to 30 so our light level will likely max at somewhere between 46 and 50.
-
I think that is showing the total light a guardian has from his/her armor, not the light level. Like how a lvl 32 guardian has 144 light. Being level 50 would require a lot of light most likely, resulting in those high numbers. They're likely using it as a measurement for testing things. Just my guess.
-
For those who don't know; It's photoshopped.
-
The cap is bananas B-A-N-A-N-A-S
-
this video would be better if I was high.
-
Your xp level will go to 30 while there will be light on your gear that adds up to that level
-
Did you ever think to divide it by the number of armor pieces you have? That is definitely just a place holder.
-
WHAT R THOOOOOOSE
