I see now why yesterday made everyone so disappointed

I see now why everyone's so mad. I honestly though a cool-looking emblem was cool. But little did I know... I only casually played Halo when I was younger. This was my first Bungie Day and I didn't know about all the things they used to do. I didn't know about the recon armor, the flaming helmets, and everything else they did. It took a poorly-formed post of mine and 107 comments of intense bashing for me to see it, but yeah, I get it. However, none of you turned my eye in a kind way - you took about half a second for you to absolutely beat me to a pulp. You could have been more civil. You also named and shamed me on other posts, which wasn't cool (yes, I saw that). I called you all entitled. I call you all bitchy little morons. Sorry. I honestly didn't know that Bungie Day was something that was hyped up so much. It's clear that this Bungie Day did not live up the expectations of the community. They basically did nothing. I'm sure you'll still bash on me: "Delete your characters you piece of shit", "go die", "it's all your fault". Go ahead. I can take it. So, tell me, without being a douche, what the old Bungie Days used to be like. I want to know. Edit: I can't wait for backwards comparability so I can play my old Halo games again. I have backwards comparability from the preview program, but very few games are supported.

  • Dude, I've gotten my teeth kicked on these forums plenty, and not once have I taken it with the humility you have. Well played. That said, bungie day was magical. You'd get massive content reveals, sales on map packs, the chance to take on actual bungie employees to earn exclusive content (armors, armor effects), until that maaaaagical day when bungie relinquished command and direction of their juggernaut franchise to Microsoft. In a master stroke of genius, they took the blue flame armor effect, which previously was only available to bungie and Microsoft employees, and with an impetuous middle finger in the air, gifted it to its entire player base. THAT'S the bungie I remember. A bungie day coming up for Destiny??!!! I was freaking out! There's gestures, marks/bonds/cloaks, shaders, emblems, perma-boost sparrows! Weapons! ARMOR SETS! Special challenges! One day playlists! F@CKING QUESTS! The possibilities were limitless......... Then the 7th came. We got an art contest. We got a checklist of base activities available from vanilla destiny through the present. Even worse: they were retroactively applicable. I had to find five golden chests. Happy f@cking bungie day.
