The reef awoken were born in the reef and don't like outsiders. You were not born their so they don't accept you

Where does it say during the game that your awoken character isn't born on the reef? You are just woken from the dead and nothing else explained after that it makes no reference to your character being exo/human/awoken during the entire game if I remember correctly

Well, as far as we know, awoken were made in the reef and we do not now of any awokens returning to earth.
