How do I put this? I could just tell you... But that is too dangerous. It would be like giving a dehydrated man a fire hose to drink from. It has to be done right, but how? Ah yes, a story. A story of Nine.
You see, long ago in a far off place; or was it recently in a nearby place? Either way events did happen, but you must understand they didn't happen. Because it's not the events, but the places. But don't let that fool you because the places don't exist either.
Once there was Queen, she was noble and true, and her subjects loved her. She lived a peaceful life, and given a peaceful life to her people as well. It seemed as if nothing could go wrong.
There were others though. They were without a proper Queen or King, but had a Princess. She was still in adolescence and was regarded as the rightful ruler, but not allowed to have the full power. She grew vain without guidance, and her people suffered for it.
These people worshipped the clocks, one which rose and fell and the other which came and went without a trace, the Princess the former and the Queen the later. This difference caused much dispute between the Queen and Princess claiming only one should be worshipped, and the other abandoned.
The Queen didn't wish to fight, she tried for peace, but was met with resent. She turned to her people and promised their safety, they would not have to fight if they didn't wish. All I'm her kingdom were free. As she said this a little fox from the outskirts of the kingdom heard her and came to sit by her side. This fox was special, it spoke to her, saying it would stand by her and protect her from what is to come.
The Princess heard of what the Queen had said, and decided she too would have an animal by her side. The puny little fox could not compare to the large majestic steed she would ride in on. All would look upon her now and see she is truly of greatness, all would look upon her and follow.
The horse allowed her to ride on its back, but it didn't follow her rule, and neither did her subjects. They wished not to fight. But the Princess was relentless, she took up an arrow, and threatened all who would not follow. The people mounted horses, and readied for war.
The Queen marched, her fox followed alongside her, and her l many of her people behind. They knew the dangers of the fight ahead, but still wished to follow, they loved their queen. The Princess, atop a horse, came into view many others were also on horses behind her. The Princess drew her arrow aimed and released. It flew straight for the Queens heart. Her fox leapt into the path, the arrow lodged into its side. For the Queen everything fell away, she knelt to her fox and listened carefully for it spoke softly. "The Princess is a lizard, while she looks small and harmless she hides a devastating poison within, no compromise will ever be met with her. She can't trusted."
The smell of blood filled the air. A snake from the woods came out to observe what was happening and was very pleased, it saw a battle of great proportions, on the left people were weak walking carrying small weapons, the right had men on horseback with bows and arrows flying every which way. It was clear who the victor would be, and it was clear who the snake would speak to. It slithered off to the right, up a horses leg, and up the back of the Princess. It whispered in her ear. She shouted at her people, and they retreated back to her lands relieved to stop fighting.
The ones who were left alive gathered around their Queen, she held her dead fox close to her body tears in her eyes. When they asked what they would do, firmly she said "when lizards and snakes play on clocks, we must chisel them out of the night sky." And they understood.

Figuring out who everyone is is important, but what I want to know is just what did the snake tell that little princess.
