Honestly, I used to be on your camp. I hated not having matchmaking for even the weekly. I have since switched to Bungie's side. Why? There are really just three reasons. 1. Since they have put matchmaking into the weekly, I think I've played maybe [i]two[/i] matches without an AFKer, I shouldn't be forced into carrying people (and somehow, they are the ones who always get the exotics...). 2. I know exactly who and what I'm getting, there are no surprises. 3. I've met some pretty cool people on LFG and we've gone on to form raid groups and trials groups, we've come to know each others strategies and are more effective then any random group. I wouldn't say friends, but they are people I can have a good time with. I can't remember the last time randoms even had a mic in.
