Xbox One can play 360 games. M$ already confirmed this.
As for the controller, I prefer the Xbox One. Why? I can easily replace a pair of AA battery in less than 5 sec. Not having to wait for charging like my PS4. A PS4 battery last like 4 or 5 hours while a Xbox One with just 2 AA can last more than 20
