I have an 18th month old so first off congratulations it's amazing especially when they start walking and can show you affection. Anyway about the console choice I have both and I personally like the ps4 better. The main reason for this is I was so beyond excited for the xbox one, but the 360 is just better right now except for graphics and it's not a huge difference. I came from an xbox 360 and upgraded to a xbox one then got a ps4. I love ps4. The UI is simply and amazing. It was cool to play games I hadn't played before like the last of us which that game alone is worth buying a ps4. Also destiny and cod switched to ps4 which played a part. But if you have alot of friends on xbox then I'd stay there. Friends can make or break a gaming experience. My friends all switched to the ps4 when I did. Xbox one will get better and they have a UI update coming soon so really you won't go too wrong either way except the one doesn't feel like an upgrade atm.
