Yeah I tend to agree with sam, I get on plenty of 'bad' fireteams on PS4 but when you look at the stats end game, both teams are pretty close usually in terms of score and k/d. That would imply that instead of sucking, a lot of PS4 players are at least 'relevant' instead of just clueless sitting ducks. Not to say PS4 doesn't have any noobs.
But I also have a friend who plays Xbox religiously, and consequently I spend a lot of time playing Destiny (and other games) on Xbox as well. Now, this could very well just be me personally, but when I happen to play on his Xbox, he does indeed get friend requests, and game invites a ton, but (and this could just be his friends) they mostly all seem to be pretty clueless when it comes to actual strategy. They may be good at aiming and firing, but from all the friends of his (and randoms of course) that I have played Destiny with on XBone, I feel like people are situationally clueless about 75% of the time.
It feels so easy for me on XBone to sneak around as a one man army because I come up on so many people who should know I'm there, but they just don't. Now I will run into some good players, and yes some better than myself, but speaking in aggregate terms, I feel like I can do better solo on Xbox than I do on PS.
Raids on the other hand, I feel people are just as clueless either way.
So, long story short, it may just be your experience, or you might just be being a wee bit elitist.
