Impossible for me to get all exotic weapons?
I only need two more exotic weapons to complete my collection, the two being necrochasm and fourth horseman. I received the crux of crota about a month ago and I thought that would mean it would be easy for me to get necrochasm. Well I was wrong. I've farmed for the husk of the pit (all my farming was after House of Wolves) since I got the crux, with no luck. It seems the husk has disappeared and I've thought of 3 possible scenarios as to why:
Scenario 1: I'm cursed by rngesus, meaning out of 700 blade of crota kills and countless hours doing the fist of crota mission, I just simply got unlucky.
Scenario 2: After House of Wolves was released, the drop rate was deliberately decreased by Bungie because most players already had a husk if they wanted one. Since I bought the expansion pass right after House of Wolves dropped, this would aggravate me. Just because I bought the dlc later should not mean I am at a disadvantage in any way. I payed just as much money.
Scenario 3: The decrease in drops is a glitch, which I believe is most likely, but if this is the case I have seen no evidence from Bungie saying that they are looking into it. All I've seen is a bungie rep saying it's still in the game, in the fist of crota mission. With my experience, I am almost sure it's not still in the game.
The Husk of the Pit has obviously been an issue after House of Wolves and I would at least like to know if Bungie has looked into the issue at all. I've seen plenty of other posts on the forums, so I know I'm not the only one. I have 700 blade kills with no husk, and my friend (Colymoly02), who farmed before House of Wolves, has 100 kills and received 3 husks. So is it my rng or something more?
What do you guys think? Are one of my scenarios correct or do you guys have a different scenario that you think is causing my issue? Please comment what you think.

I've gotten like two after HoW dropped on the same day back to back. Mind you I wasn't actively farming it. Instead I just did the Eris Bounty at the time.

2 RepliesI was in a similar situation, however I recently got the four Horsemen and have completed the collection of exotic weapons although it took a long time grinding raids to get it. With regards the Necrochasm, I actually deleted two husk earlier in the game and had to grind to get another. My advice is to use different weapons to kill the knight e.g. sniper, rocket launcher etc. When I did that it dropped about three more Husk of the Pit. My issue now is that I have not been able to get the Queens Cipher to drop although I have the Elder Cipher on all characters and have done POE 32.34.45 may times without success. Best of luck.

2 RepliesIt seems that the Most rare weapon these days (necro) is unfortunately the most useless. I really love my necro for reason, but it's absolutely not worth the grind....

Hey, Firstly, I'd have to say scenario #1 Secondly, the Husk of the Pit [b]does[/b] still exist in Destiny, however, the only way to obtain this weapon is by running through the Fist of Crota mission and killing the Blade of Crota there.
