The Sad Story Of A Guardian Who Couldn't Go Flawless In Trials Of Osiris

Once upon a time, there was a saddened guardian. Why is this man saddened if you may ask? He couldn't go flawless. His pain of not going flawless lasted for 2 months. He just couldn't handle the Thorns, Felwinter's, and lack of matchmaking...but one day his pain was going to end. After a good nights rest, the guardian woke up happy! The thought of not going flawless was not in his head. He felt confident that he can go flawless this weekend. He jumped on the Destiny forums looking for a team to work with so he can finally fulfill his dream. After 45 minutes of waiting, the guardian hears a knock on his door. He opens it to see his fireteam. He is excited, cause he knows that this is his week. He greets them happily and asks the fireteam leader to go to the Vestian Outpost to acquire a trials supply. The fireteam leader instinctively agrees. The fireteam arrives at the Outpost and the guardian gets his supplies. They head out to orbit in order to discuss strategy. After sometime of strategy talk, they go in with their heads up high. The fireteam arrives at the European dead zone. They prepare for war. After a long and fierce battle, the score is 4-4. They quickly discuss a strategy in order to defeat their enemies before the beginning of the next game. The next game begins. The fireteam leader snipes down an enemy. The confident guardian and his teammate run in alongside the leader to take out the remaining two. The two guardians takedown the second one. He self-resurrects and the two shoot him down again. The fireteam corner the final enemy guardian, a Titan. They raise their weapons and shoot him down, but the Titan still lives! They knew what was happening. The enemy Titan snuck in a lagswitching device! They give everything they have, but he just won't go down. The enemy Titan pulls out his Felwinter's Lie and he shoots down the leader while the other two are still shooting. The other two guardians start backing up. The enemy Titan shoots down the confident guardian's teammate. The confident guardian starts running away to escape the range of the Titan's shotgun. But the Titan pulls out his Thorn and aims down on the guardian. He fires a shot and it lands on the guardian's hip. He's still running, but the pain of the Thorn's poison is just unbearable. He still pushes forward. The Titan fires a second shot, this time it lands on his back right shoulder. The guardian stops running because of the overwhelming pain. The guardian turns around to face the Titan since he can't run anymore. The Titan fires a third shot, it travels toward the guardian...it hits it's mark. The Titan's shot lands right on the guardian's forehead. He falls back slowly knowing that he failed, failed to accomplish his dream. The team returns to orbit angry at the guardian because he ran. They play more matches to practice before picking up another passage. But it was failure after failure. They blamed all of their loses on the guardian who just wanted to go flawless. They ultimately kick him from the team. Saddened again, he returns to the Tower Plaza to think about his failure. After minutes of contemplating what he would do next, he decides to end it all. He stands up on the railings drops to his death. Hours later, one of the guardian's who is assigned with cleaning up the many dead guardian bodies at the base of the Tower finds this man's body. He searches him before tossing him in an incinerator. He finds a trials passage with a 0-3 score on it and then he knew why he jumped. He prepares to say some words to him before tossing him in the incinerator. He leans his mouth next to the guardian's ear and slowly whispers, "Get good scrub." He then picks up the guardian's body, tosses him in the incinerator, and continues on with his day. THE END

 • Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Do not go gentle into that good night.
