Cyberpunk: An Open World RP

[b]CEDYETICA/CYBERPUNK RP INTRODUCTION: Welcome to Cedyetica, a southern city of Paranorm glowing with faulty holograms and shadowed by tall, menacing skyscrapers. Mechanical Cyber-Police droids scour the rainy city streets in search of cyber-junkies who drain illegal stimulants found inside of the Internet for their pleasure, while life-like "Synth" androids roam in the living civilian crowd, their human minds serving as hidden eyes of the Monarch, the mysterious governing figure of Cedyetica. Roving biker gangs race daringly down busy roads in heavy competition, while you, a "Cyberpunk" man or woman with strange abilities bestowed upon you by mysterious implantations or drugs given to you by a mysterious source, walk and drive among the Cedyetican crowd as if one of them, your dangerous powers concealed under your skin, hidden.[/b] - [b]ROSSKAYA INTRODUCTION: Welcome to Rosskaya, a northern city of heavy product manufacturing in Paranorm that dwells rurally, though their red-haired people are heavily spirited and cultured. Snow flurries and falls over the land, with the residents dressed in furry snow jackets and thick boots to keep themselves warm. Cyber-Police still patrol the streets, though not in as many numbers as other cities, since crime is low here. Here, Cyborgs are seen by locals as holy beings, hailed in the Temples of Kiber, while Psions are seen as abominations of nature, publicly executed in the capital town of Clockmetal. [/b] - [b]TRYNT INTRODUCTION: Welcome to Trynt, an eastern city of Paranorm where immense nature and advanced technology comes together and the fairly wealthy live, dressed in bright and fancy clothing. Inventors and celebrities usually roam here, and nature is abound in the color green. The famous Bunderman River flows through the city like a vessel to the city's life. The culture of Trynt respects the past and preserves it in both the sprawling hallways of the monumental Joppling's Museum and the forests and fields surrounding the city. Though as fun and nice as the top layer of Trynt sounds, darker things, both criminal and governmental, grow underneath, some crimes more brutal than Cedyetica's, and the governmental projects more sinister...[/b] - [b]TETHYX INTRODUCTION: Welcome to Tethyx, a small nation built upon a large tropical island a few hundred miles off the coast of Paranorm. It's small society is abundant in tourism and vacation, which nearly hides the fact that the Overwatch is testing how well men and women with Cyberpunk abilities would fare serving in the Police Force here. This means that Cyberpunks are not automatically considered as criminals here, and they may roam freely with their abilities, as long as they don't use them for trouble. But expect Cyberpunks to be serving as the men of law here instead of Cyber-Police as the Overwatch undergo their "Police-Punk" operation. Aside from all of that, there are many places to go here in Tethyx, both suburban and wild. Architecture similar to Cedyetica's is built along the coastal cities, with tropical deserts and jungles spanning just behind them. And hidden among this land are remnants and ruins of long-gone civilizations which dwelled before the Age of Tech...[/b] [i]Now tell Us, what are these powers you posess?[/i] [b][u]Cyberpunk Classes ((Choose One)):[/u][/b] [b]Hacker:[/b] Equipped with the Power Gauntlet, a glove capable of strange virtual things, you are a normal, living person who may hack information out of any chosen data-using device or computer. Data fuels the Glove, and if it has enough of it, it can also make for a menacing tool in combat, enough data creating a "turbo punch" or a laser that shoots from your palm, higher levels even enabling electrical teleportation for the user. ° [b]Cyborg:[/b] A bio-mechanical entity, half organic person, half machine; a human weapon. Your limbs and body can unhinge to release more appendages, usually bladed and dangerous. Wrists can detach to release sword-like blades while shoulder blades can be opened to release lengthy metal arms built with lethal claws on their ends. Your hands can even be used like grappling devices, shooting from your arms and gripping objects while they are still connected to your body by chords. Additional augmentations to the Cyborg class can be purchased at Cyber-Mercs. ° [b]Psion:[/b] An intimidating character capable of telekinetic abilities, such as "poltergeisting" ((moving stuff around with their minds)) and even blowing organic materials up with their minds. They may also levitate, generate electricity, and even teleport if powerful enough, but must be fueled by KAP-8 pills, a drug dealt by cyber-junkies, if these powers are to be activated. Pill insufficiency will lead to massive headaches, bleeding from facial orifices, nausea, and possibly death. ° [b]Tempest:[/b] A person who has the ability to manipulate time. They can peer into the near future, slow time, and if powerful enough may pause it and even rewind it. To fuel these abilities, a Tempest must collect amounts of untampered time from the universe around them. They may only use these abilities for short moments, for if they do, they will simply cease to exist, trapped in a timeless realm. ((Idea by Desert/Kai)) ° [b]Scanner:[/b] A regular person who is equipped with the Aedificator, a strange helmet which may scan any solid material and print it in any shape or form through their Tac-Pad, depending on how much Programmatter their Aedificator has inside of it. They may also scan materials to show intensive amounts of information about them. ° [b]Golem:[/b] A biological wonder amongst science, Golems are humans who have a certain gene inside of them that can meld with other forms of DNA or materials to alter their physical, sensual, and/or mental abilities. They must go to a Bio-Lab with a sample of an organism or solid material for scientists to put into their Genome ((Golems begin with one, but can buy up to two more from Bio-Labs)), and if they decide to put in another human's DNA, they will have the biological identity of that human; if they put in an animal's, they will have the abilities of that animal; if they put in a solid substance, their skin will be made out of a flexible version of that substance, still retaining the durability of it. Genode samples can be switched by Bio-Lab scientists at your order, but at the cost of Credits. If for example a Golem had two Genomes and put in an animal sample into one and a solid substance into another, they would have the abilities of the animal while at the same time having the solid substance as their skin. [i]What feats do you possess alongside your powers?[/i] [b][u]Cyberpunk Feats ((Choose One)): [/u][/b] [b]Sharpshooter[/b]: A Punk who has a profession with firearms. Higher accuracy and control with firearms is bestowed upon this character. ° [b]Swordsman[/b]: A Punk who is a master with melee weapons, such as swords, knives, etc. Advanced blocking, countering, and other maneuvers with melee weapons is bestowed upon this character. ° [b]Brawler[/b]: A Punk who makes an exceptional performance in hand-to-hand combat. Advanced punching and kicking techniques, as well as disarming and incapacitating, are bestowed upon this character. ° [b]Acrobat[/b]: A Punk who excels in agility and the art of parkour. Wall-running, quick scaling of vertical surfaces, longer jumping distance, high sprinting speed and advanced evasion skills are bestowed upon this character. ° [b]Driver[/b]: A Punk who has lived most of their life on the road and in the garage. Sharp maneuvering, such as drifting and turning, in wheeled vehicles, as well as the ability to repair vehicles by themselves and not the help of a Motorheads mechanic, are bestowed upon this character. ° [b]Talker[/b]: A Punk with a sharp tongue and a knack for toying with the emotions of others. The ability to barter dealers for lower prices on their products and to cleverly soak information from someone with a little conversation is bestowed upon this character. Also, you can get a free code into the Black Market and surf the list of gear others sell that are quite tactically advanced and exotic! - All Classes who are caught not using their "fuel" ((in a Psion's case, KAP-8)) will be suspended from their character. - When the time comes, a Cyberpunk RPer will be able to acquire two Feats if they are frequently playing and devoted to the RP.

The police are fighting a losing battle, the Psions are causing as much chaos as they can, and the Overwatch has been ordered to protect the Monarch at all costs. They all take their required doses of KAP-8.[/b] [b]They drop and bring chaos to the streets: They TK cars and throw them into nearby stores , restaurants, buildings and shops, several attack the Cyber police, and civilians and pedestrians begin screaming and running away in fear.[/b] [i]((OPEN))[/i]

Suddenly, alarms begin to blare. The many soldiers in the area look up, then begin sprinting to their staging areas. Crane races for a nearby lift with the team following, slamming the 'down' panel so hard that it shatters. The Agent passes an earpiece to blank. [i]For comms and mission updates.[/i] The four grab their gear and take a separate lift to their dropship. Mission Control, on the other end of the Agents' radios, sounds rather terrified. [b]Oh, no. No, no, no. The Psions are here. Some kind of uprising! That crazy one who invaded Rosskaya's leading them.[/b] The agents board a dropship placed apart from the others, with a matte-black paint job and a sharp, radar-ablative design. Crane whacks the pilot's door, and they're on their way. [i]Spin up, Birdman![/i] The ship flys toward the battle as part of a massive, seemingly unending formation.

                  • [b]THE OVERHANGING SHADOW: A WORLD EVENT.[/b] [u]LOCATION: Ensmooth, a relatively forgotten town on the coast of Paranorm.[/u] [i]Ensmooth (pronounced Ens-mooth, not In-smooth) is a large, yet mainly derelict fishing town. Its citizens are wary of outsiders, and many share a similar countenance, dubbed "the look", wherein their slightly bulging eyes and oddly pale skin seem unfailingly hostile to all and sundry. There have been a string of disappearances in the town, both locals and outsiders. It came to the Mafia's attention after one of their local chiefs, who ran a salt production factory in the town, disappeared suddenly. They're looking for a team to hunt after their inside man. It's recommended any Hunters that take the job avoid traveling together or being seen publicly together, so as to avoid drawing suspicion. Whatever you find may haunt you, but the riches promised are too great to resist.[/i] [b]The Story so far:[/b] [i]Eva, the Bunkman couple, Etana, Phantom, and Chelovek have arrived in Ensmooth. Several of them have roomed at local innkeeper Burris Gilby's boarding house, while Etana and Chelovek have set off for the north side of town and the three canning and salting factories owned by Roger Albertin, the area's Mafia chief. Both Etana and Chelovek have investigated the factories owned by Albertin, and found nothing. Jaque has investigated a strange presence that has dogged the investigators, but found no source. In the early morning, the group sits down in the boarding house's breakfast room to compare notes and form a plan of action. Later, after each member receives a strange gift, Jaque and Faith are captured by the Order of Dagon, who have dragged them to the crypts beneath their temple. Under the cover of darkness, a mob of townsfolk approach Gilby's inn. Chelovek, Jade, and Etana will soon discover why...[/i] [u][b]THE FINALE[/b][/u] [b]The investigators trapped at the inn and and within the Dagonite Temple have been rescued by a Delta Green task force, who are en route to Dagon's underwater metropolis of Y'nathiel, beneath the caverns of the Demon's Isle. The investigators have also managed to rescue Roger Albertin, but Dagon's forces must be annihilated in order for them to depart.[/b] [b][u]EPILOGUE:[/u][/b] [i]With the city of Ensmooth and Y'nathiel destroyed completely, and Roger Albertin rescued, the investigators have completed their mission. But more threats will rise in the Dark Corners of the Earth.[/i] [b][u]REWARDS:[/u][/b] Chelovek: GRU-SV8 AK-74, Voron-class body armor, Makarov SV8 pistol, Delta Green radio contact codes, and GRU-SV8 garrison cap and badge. Faith: Welbly Mark Eight revolver with .50 AP slugs, Chtinous Armor.                       • Revy sits on a low rooftop with her laptop infront of her. From her vintage point she is able to see the local Tokyo Town police station a bit down the road, perfect. Her scene projector has been set facing the road so none are able to see her on the roof from the street. She continues typing keys as she makes preparations for her cyber-infiltration into the police database. Proxies and walls have been set, the scene projector hiding her silhouette, and a paper bag full of fruits and soft drinks at her side, all set. With no further preparations needed, she put her ski goggles up to her eyes and begins her magic. ((Open))

                        The place was damp and cold, the type of environment that could make even the brawniest of workers sick to an extent. Dim bulbs illuminated the place, whose lights would reflect off an old yellow wallpaper with peels and various stains, they made the place look worse but it was the best lighting available. Wooden tables and chairs that looked like they were about to break with any given weight filled the place. Some with leftover jugs and tankards that needed wiping, it was time to clean. The old man who currently inhabited the bar got up and tied on his apron, he was about halfway finished when he heard the door open with footsteps following up. "Oi, we're currently closed! Come back later, I know for fact it's not break time for you workers" The footsteps continued down the stairs, the old man tossed his rag to a nearby table with a groan and turned to face the entrance. "Can't ye hear! Can't ye read? The sign clearly said- " His words stopped as he saw who his guest was. "Can't be. Zhackie!?" "No, you've been drinking too much of your own hooch again. I'm an apparition your brain created to tell you to stop" his guest replied with the type of sarcasm only one person he knew could deliver, it was him. "[i]Oj[/i], it's good to see you boy!" He said as he came forward for an embrace. Zhackie was never comfortable with physical contact, but obliged for an old friend. "When the hell did you get taller than me, last I saw you you were barely able to see over the counter with your Ma lifting you unto the stool" Zhackie smiled at the words. "You're crushing me old man, don't overexert yourself or your bones may just collapse" Zhackie in a rude but friendly manner. "It really is good to see you too Sergei" He let go of Zhackie. "I see you still lack respect for elders, don't complain when you're old and gray and met with the same lack of courtesy" He said with a laugh. "You know I was joking, I may be irreverent but I would never disrespect you out of spite" Was Zhackies response. They sat on a clean corner table, a bottle of soda each as they conversed. "I don't know why you chose to come back to this city, but I know you came here for more than to just say hello to old man" Zhackie to a sip of his soft drink. "You make me sound to greedy Sergei, of course I also came here to see you, we're conversing aren't we. Sergei smiled "You know, there are better, stronger things to drink here, I own this place afterall" Zhackie scoffed "My mother would kill us" He laughed in agreement at Zhackies response. "She told me if I ever gave you hooch she'd string me up on the Clocktower for all to see" Zhackie widened his eyes, the scary part was the thought that just maybe, she might have been serious. "Speaking of, I haven't seen that woman in ages. You come across her yet?" Zhackie shook his head in response, with a bit of worry painted on his face. " Hey now, knowing the type of person she is I can say with upmost certainty that she's alright" he said as he saw the worried look. "Thanks" "Now" Sergei continued as he brought out a potato sack and placed it on the table. "Here, she wanted you to have this, she said she thought you'd come back, and when you did, she said to give this to you" Zhackie eyes the bag with curiosity. "What's in it?" "One of her old uniforms, jacket, scarf, armbands, and boots" He looked confused. "But why?" Sergei shrugged at the question "Hell if I know, she even said 'just because' when I asked her" Zhackie took the bag and peeked inside. "Oi, don't let anyone catch you with that, you'll have a difficult time explaining how you managed to get such a thing. And then trouble will come knocking on my door" Zhackie took the warning with a nod and a smile. "Received and acknowledged" Sergei looked at the clock. "It's almost break time out there, very soon this place will fill with exhausted workers looking to get flagged off their minds. The smell, it's something. You should get going" With that Zhackie took the sack off the table and slung it over his shoulder. "It's fine, I've kept Rom waiting long enough anyway" "Rom?" Sergei asked. "My dog, I got him back in Cidyetica" "Ah" Zhackie began to walk towards the stairs. "Oi" He turned to see Sergei. "[i]Slovo- syeryebro ..[/i]" Zhackie smiled and finished the phrase. "[i] ... A molchaniye- zoloto[/i]" Sergei raised his bottle. "Stop by anytime" ((Closed))

Your HUD marks 30 active terrorist roaming the building, including a hacker, a scanner, and a cyborg. [/b] [b]Eva and Etana find them self by the entrance in the entrance to the lobby of the firm. By the door is a dead Marcus. 2 terrorist are in front of you having conversation. Both are armed with krisboc 19's.[/b]

Men and women trudged below through the unhealthy cast of the street lights. Some hurried. Some didn't. Some barely seemed to notice the rain. Maybe I was the only one foolish enough to hope that the rain could wash this city clean. A pale yellow light barely illuminates what he's working on. A massive revolver rests next to the lamp. He's worked nearly non-stop the past day and a half to etch designs into it, and now each elegant twist adorning the weapon catches the light. Next to the hand cannon sits a belt and holster to house it. It looks like it's out of the cowboy days of old - old being the key word. Stored upon it are twelve rounds, each as thick as a man's thumb. The brass took a long time to collect to create each casing, along with the typesetter's lead for the actual bullets. Markov picks up the revolver and touches a latch on the side with his thumb before "breaking" the top of the revolver to load it with six bullets sitting next to the belt. He snaps the top-breaking revolver shut with a flick of his wrist. Three loads to fight with. At least he'll have a chance against the psychotic woman if she ever shows up again. (( Open ))

                                Ok instead ive deiced that the Assassin storyline wont be needed. Its just going to take forever and it wont be worth it as it ends with Andrew being unable to do any normal work for anyone in Cedyetica. Sorry, forget anything and anyone EVER related to the story ever happened.

                              • [b]THE OVERHANGING SHADOW: A WORLD EVENT.[/b] [u]LOCATION: Ensmooth, a relatively forgotten town on the coast of Paranorm.[/u] [i]Ensmooth (pronounced Ens-mooth, not In-smooth) is a large, yet mainly derelict fishing town. Its citizens are wary of outsiders, and many share a similar countenance, dubbed "the look", wherein their slightly bulging eyes and oddly pale skin seem unfailingly hostile to all and sundry. There have been a string of disappearances in the town, both locals and outsiders. It came to the Mafia's attention after one of their local chiefs, who ran a salt production factory in the town, disappeared suddenly. They're looking for a team to hunt after their inside man. It's recommended any Hunters that take the job avoid traveling together or being seen publicly together, so as to avoid drawing suspicion. Whatever you find may haunt you, but the riches promised are too great to resist.[/i] [b]The Story so far:[/b] [i]Eva, the Bunkman couple, Etana, Phantom, and Chelovek have arrived in Ensmooth. Several of them have roomed at local innkeeper Burris Gilby's boarding house, while Etana and Chelovek have set off for the north side of town and the three canning and salting factories owned by Roger Albertin, the area's Mafia chief. Both Etana and Chelovek have investigated the factories owned by Albertin, and found nothing. Jaque has investigated a strange presence that has dogged the investigators, but found no source. In the early morning, the group sits down in the boarding house's breakfast room to compare notes and form a plan of action. Later, after each member receives a strange gift, Jaque and Faith are captured by the Order of Dagon, who have dragged them to the crypts beneath their temple. Under the cover of darkness, a mob of townsfolk approach Gilby's inn. Chelovek, Jade, and Etana will soon discover why...[/i] [u][b]THE FINALE[/b][/u] [b]The investigators trapped at the inn and and within the Dagonite Temple have been rescued by a Delta Green task force, who are en route to Dagon's underwater metropolis of Y'nathiel, beneath the caverns of the Demon's Isle. The investigators have also managed to rescue Roger Albertin, but Dagon's forces must be annihilated in order for them to depart.[/b]

                                • (Hey Hickory? Whats the biggest Hellhole on Cedyetica? Like absolute Hell. Burnt skies...complete ruins. Not like sector 2... The ruins would be about 5 times worse than sector two, and it would need to be a hot hellhole. Get back to me when you have the answer to this question)
