World boss would need some mechanics to make it challenging (bullet sponging time consumers lose their appeal after a while). Nothing stupid like detainment bs, was thinking more like AoE moves that one shot guardians inside the radius, or subtle crowd control moves (like gutrot's mechanic, but not everyone at once). Also make there be a reason for controlling who the boss is aggro towards (don't have an idea for this, besides a presence of crota kind of mechanic)

  • Those are perfectly acceptable, i do not consider those to be gimmicks, when i say gimmicks, i generally mean the Modifiers, that alter the Game in some stupid way, mostly because of the way they combine them, like specialist and juggler, or grounded and airborne. But mechanics, like crowd controls, AoE's ground pounds, multiple weapons would be great. And detainment bubbles are not bad as long as they are Templar/Atheon ones and not Qodron ones.

  • I have to disagree with the grounded/airborne combo, I think it's a smart way to ramp the challenge up. But other combos are dumb. Templar detainment does make for great cc as well, though maybe have like a sort of reverse jailbreaker? So one person is detained in a very strong bubble for 15 seconds, but they get a buff similar to times vengeance for those 15 seconds? Just an idea :)

  • I mean the combo itself, as soon as people see grounded, they dont bother jumping, unless they shoot a rocket, hide behind something and jump so it does more damage. Or die by one shot while in the air attempting to escape. Its a great mechanic, but the enemies where it is never miss, and you die instantly, frankly its a hair OP and encourages camping.

  • Hmm true, it is only seen in 35 PoE. Would be good to see it in the 28/32/34 run, or on a weekly heroic (not the nightfall though, unless there's no burns).
