Now that you've done that, the sewer cap has small hills growing on top of it because of the dents you made, if seen from the surface, so that could still raise suspicion. But, it's better than leaving and entrance to the Sewers open.
You are engulfed in shadow. The only light-source you own is the dim blue glow of your Tac-Pad, which buzzes to tell you that your waypoint to the Sewers has been reached.
There is a flashlight application on your Pad, which could come in handy in a place like this.

I use the app, hoping to shed some light on the situation, and proceed forward.

You enter a sewage tunnel, and you walk along the metal ramps that lead up the sides of the sewer river. At the end of the tunnel, a downpour of sewage from a higher pipeline rains down to fill the stinking river you passed by. Beyond that, two maintenance tunnels are open to go through. Do you choose the left or right tunnel?
-
Right.
-
You go down the right tunnel, and it's not long before you reach the end of it, where a ladder is built up the wall and into a higher level of the Sewers. But then you see something that makes you nearly jump out of your skin: A man's tuxedoed corpse is slumped against the bottom of the ladder, his head... blown up? His head is gone, leaving a ragged stump of flesh for his neck. The grey matter and blood of his brains are scattered all over the floor and up the walls. In his limp, dead hand, is a carbon-fibre brief case, locked shut. What the hell happened here?
-
I check the briefcase, and try to open it if possible.
-
It is locked, but you can open it safely by unlocking it with the dead man's Tac-Pad by finding the lock application.
-
I open up the Tac-Pad, do some bip-bopiddy bopin', and open the suitcase.
-
Inside, you find a golden-framed T-29 Quantum revolver ((new entry to Weapons database)). It has an eight-round cylinder, each slot containing .357 Slugs. Inspired by old western six-shooters, the hammer can be flicked back as rapidly as you pull the trigger to create fan-fire, rapidly firing your bullets at a target as if it were full-auto. Hot damn, are you lucky.
-
I grab the shit out of that.
-
Now you have a great weapon to fend the Sewer mafias off and the Police force. Speaking of Police, you hear a distant metallic rattle over the slushing of falling sewage behind you, accompanied by the hum of conversation. Better climb that ladder, bub.
-
I toss the briefcase up the ladder, since it seems the business man didn't have a good time with climbing it.
-
The voices are nearing. You better act fast!
-
I scurry up the ladder with my newly found gun out, trying to not make noise.
-
Your boots and gloves squelch against the ladder rungs from the moisture of the Sewer musk. You aren't sure if the Police heard that, but you might as well not stick around to find out. You exit the top of the ladder to step into a wide, curved-walled tunnel, and in the distance, a solitary man sits against the wall, weeping. He doesn't seem to notice you.
-
I approach the man.
-
He continues to sob into his crossed arms, which hold his knees tightly to his chest.
-
"Hey there... Person.."
-
The man quickly looks at you, and then tries to scramble away from you, but his fear keeps him to the ground. "No! No, get away from me!"
-
"Woah! Calm down there."
-
He then curls up into a fetal position, shaking and trembling in terror. What could his problem be?
-
"What happened to you?" I look around to better understand my surroundings.
-
You are in a gaping tunnel, a large sewage reservoir running through its center. Along the wall that the Sewer man cowers in front of, a long trail of dry blood is stretched horizontally, thin streams stained as they flowed down to the floor. "Have you seen him...?" the man whimpers.
-
"Who are you talking about?" I help the man to his feet.
-
He timidly stands up, thanks to your aid. He looks at you with wide, teary eyes. "The head-buster. The prison boy!"
-
So that's what happened to that guy. I'll tell you what, go down the ladder, and you'll be met with police, they should get you outta here.
