Ok but like in all honesty, what's up with that? Hunters get cool hoods, titans get cool butt capes, and us warlocks get glorified sweatbands. Why Bungie?

I heard of an idea where a warlock should get an arm gauntlet that covers the entire arm. Imagine that! Your arm sparkling like with the VoG bond or with strange symbols like the ones the speaker sells!

That sounds much better. I'm also kind of curious what marks cloaks and bonds are for in the lore. Cloaks I can understand, but bonds and marks don't make much practical sense

Ohhh it's not really for practical purposes. A hunter wears a cloak to better distinguish themselves in the wastelands and is more of a personal choice than anything. A titan wears a mark in the same way a soldier wears awards and patches and medals. To show their achievements or histories or allegiances. A warlock wears a bond cause it gives them power? At least that's what it says in the first bond you get.
