At the moment, it's a couple of factors. 1) Sight Lines. Most maps don't really have any areas were you'll have time to effectively draw a bead on a target before they can hide, so you want either to spray the area or use the biggest gun you can. 2) Arena size. Ties into the above that there's nowhere that a SR's forte can really shine, save for on Combined Arms maps.
