Forever eater

Had no problems getting through Poe 34, but man Poe 32 made me feel like a newb. Anyone have pointers for taking down the forever eater in Poe 32?

  • I have beaten him on the left other weeks, but this week right of where you come out worked best the two times we downed him. The tunnel on the right gives you protection from boss splash damage and it allows you a chance to get the jump on a bunch of the adds as you can kill them right as they come out the door. Only two entrances to cover and less hobgoblin exposure. Get jawbreaker buff and group up in tunnel for the containment bubbles, pop out and shot rockets or whatever ya got. One time this week the boss teleported down on the left and was almost on top of us, that was fun. So anyway, both places work, just giving you another option in case you are getting whooped.

    • What was your biggest issue in taking him down? Basically what we do when I have run it is to all run to the left, stick back in the left corner, and then just keep downing the eye that spawns (making sure that either the same person gets the jailbreaker buff each time, or that whoever does get it has enough shotgun ammo to get everyone out of their detain bubbles) and then just use the time between killing the eyes to rocket Qodron. I think for us, the key is to always keep trying to find the next eye that spawns ASAP, even if someone already has the buff. It's totally possible to break the bubble without it, but you'll be at a super low health, and more susceptible to dying (especially to those freaking hobgoblin snipers, ugh). Staying left has worked well every time that I have been in there. There is enough cover that you can duck down behind to heal if you getting bombed, but it is still open enough that you can get shots off, plus there are only 2 sides that adds can get to you, so you can have one person covering one site, and one covering the other, and then you all trade positions for damage on the boss. Of course, you could also just try the "pop a bubble, burn with Ghorn as soon as you enter the room" method as well. I've never done it, but it looks like it works pretty well for a super quick kill. I'm sure that there are better ways to do it, but this is what has worked for me when running it!
