  • It's actually false. You see, ginger haired people aren't the only ones that carry the gene. A lot of people do. So, if they have children, then that means that they could be ginger, and henceforth, still live.

  • Well, research suggests that the red-haired gene is a recessive gene, and if there are more dominant genes present in a partner, then they're more likely to succeed in becoming part of the babies final genetic structure. The more dominant genes that are present down the successive lineage of that family, the more the red-haired gene will be suppressed, until it is essentially overridden and no longer exists. Every now and then, the right combination of genes may align to recreate a dormant red-haired sequence and produce a ginger child, but the chances are low unless each parents has the genes somewhere in their prior lineage.
