For the replies to this thread. Sony doesn't [i]need[/i] to make their ps4 backwards compatable. They also didn't need to drop the price to make more console sales. I own both consoles. For me, I didn't buy a next gen console to play old games. I also didn't buy a console to hook my cable box to, then to my tv, to watch tv. Maybe soon Microsoft can sell me a tv that I hook to my tv to watch tv.
