I slowly filter off the assembly floor joining the growing tide of workers bottlenecking near the exit to clock out. The workers in orange jumpsuits filter down into two lines, manual and "fast pass." A joke from the old days where cars didn't have to stop to pay tolls thanks to a transmitter, for cyborgs it pretty much boils down to the same thing. Story of my life though, an augment here, another there. All to make my life a little easier I guess, but how long can I keep going? I'm running out of meat. The smell outside says "Tokyo Town" all over it, a little like broken dreams and spiced food with just a pinch of opportunity. Opportunity is something I'm looking for. I follow a group of workers down the block, their orange is still displayed. Nobody bothers to change, in ten short hours your shift starts over again. Ten on ten off, it would be criminal but nobody forced me to work a shit job for shit pay. The place is a dive, never been myself but I hear there is an opportunity for black market goods and jobs.
