I know, right? And now that the Hunter Expressway popped up around that area, you think something would change. But nope, stays frozen in time.
Still, probably better than living in Rockhampton. ;)

Edited by Shadow Artiste: 7/16/2015 1:53:01 AM
Lol, nice.
Due to some kinda crazy personal circumstances, I moved back to Abermain with my two young boys and sent them to school in Abermain. They went there for 2 terms and I remember seeing quite a few of the kids I went to school with (older, balder and fatter no doubt) waiting to pick up their own kids who now went to school there. I wanted to grab them by the shoulders and look them in the eyes and say "you need to leave this place ... you really need to leave ... now". Don't know how you could spend your whole life in a tiny coal town like that. I moved to SA not long after

Some people just get themselves stuck in ruts and can't get out, either due to ignorance, or perceived comfortability. It's only when they see what else is out there that they realise what they were doing.

Nah, due to my pasty skin I have a natural aversion to the beach. Last time I went there I got so sunburned I couldn't leave the house for a week. No joke! My skin was seeping. The sunscreen I was using was, unbeknownst to me, out of date.

From Qld? Didn't know it was that highly regarded. Don't eat much seafood myself, apart from fish. Can't stomach the salty taste, incidentally. (No pun intended there, I literally don't like overly salty things. :P)

Lol, saw it coming a mile away. But it was pure coincidence that I happened to have natural aversions to both those things. :P Better luck next time. ;D

No Aussie, that's who. God, wish I could get me some fish & chips right now. Haven't had it in ages because the missus is a coeliac, and I hate eating glutenous foods in front of her.

But yeah, I didn't realise how much stuff has flour in it, like sausages ... SAUSAGES! Next time I'm eating F&C I'll dedicate a bite to you.
