[b][u]Summary[/u][/b] My ascended gloves keep reverting to their un-ascended forms when i'm gone for a couple of days. [b][u]Unabridged Problem[/u][/b] This is the second time this has happened to me and i'm really flustered that I've no way to regain all those etheric lights (along with the countless hours) that have now been wasted. [spoiler] I ran iron banner to level 5 with my main lock and to level 3 with an alt to net me 3 etherics on top of 1 i had from running the 34 succesfully. So, starting with 3 etherics, I took some gloves, Extropy Morph, and ascended it because it gave me "Hand cannon loader"; this put me at 2 etherics remaining. I then purchased a similar glove for my other warlock from vanguard: unity clade. I then ascended the Fatebringer putting me at 2 etherics. Ascending the gloves bumped me to 34 and i proceeded to attempt some 34 poe successfully (putting me back to 3 etherics) and 35 poe (unsuccessfully sadly). A few days later after the patch last week, i got on and noticed my Extropy morph was no longer ascended. and i only had 2 etherics. That means my gloves lost their ascension AND an etheric disappeared. To make sure I hadn't just ascended the other one, I took it off of my alt and looked it over on my main. It was only at 36 light. Upon looking at both of my hand cannon loader gloves, i grew flustered because it was and still is extremely time consuming and difficult to earn the etheric lights. I had to grind iron banner on my main warlock and my alt warlock just to get to 34. (Finding 2 other people willing to leave someone in their clique to play with me is almost not worth the trouble anymore and the only people that i can find in my "circle" are those who are lower level than me, so we never manage to finish anything we start). that said, i upgraded my unity clade to 42 light (putting me at 1 etheric light) to make sure it's not a defect with the other gloves, and bought another unity clade for my alt. I ran Nightfall and a few other activities including VoG hard, and then stopped there as i was still very frustrated at my wasted time. so, i took a 5 day break to cool off. i get on today to participate in Xur day and to run a 28 poe. i log into my character and NONE of my aforementioned gloves are ascended anymore...all three are at 36 light and i still only have 1 etheric light. Instead, the CE gloves (deathsinger's grip) are somehow ascended (despite the fact that i never ascended them or had any reason to because I don't use them when raiding), i'm down to 1 etheric light, and i'm at the point where i am just about to quit destiny. I have no viable means to attain anymore Etheric light shy getting onto some LFG site or reddit subforum on a computer that is NOT in my game room just to potentially find 2 other people to play with. Why we can't have matchmaking as an option (not forced) for at least the 32 and 34 poe is beyond me. It feels like all Bungie can do is tell us how they want us to play instead of letting us just have fun. As a software developer, if i told the gov't employees how to use my software, i and the company i work for would be without a job; just saying... [/spoiler] [b][u]What to do going forward? Resolution?[/u][/b] Bugs that disconnect you, albeit frustrating, are simple to deal with and don't bother me in the long run. bugs and design decisions that make prison bosses near impossible unless everyone in your team is a 34 titan with bubble shield and ascended gallies, while annoying and depressing, are something I can avoid and just go on with other destiny activities. What annoys me more than anything are bugs/issues like this that steal time and effort already expended as well as make me weaker and weaker thereby limiting my activities even more. I'm at the point where i'm going to give up on Destiny because there's no valid reason for gear to be going backwards in time. To top it off, there's no dedicated bug ticket system. What is that about? I know of very few games that don't have a ticket system in place. FOrums are a TERRIBLE medium for that. There's no way to track if anyone saw the issue, if anyone is working on it, nor if there was ever a solution. So, instead of my really negative and angry story is shared with all the world to see except bungie employees because there's no ticket system that I can find anywhere on the site to report my issue. Almost like breaking up with someone in a busy restaurant so he/she doesn't make a scene, except i'm going to make a scene because I'm beyond flustered, and was annoyed the first time. Things like this make me feel like i'm unimportant now as a client because my money was used a long time ago. As many times as i've stuck my neck out and defended Bungie, times like these truly make me question if years of being a loyal and content customer have gone down the drain because numbers and quantities are seemingly more important than quality of service to the users who help make you what you are today. As such, I don't know what to do and really don't even expect to hear anything from Bungie because I'm just a number. this isn't the Bungie i remember from 14 years ago... - A flustered and saddened player of Bungie games...
