For anybody who has no idea what this is about, Bungie announced in their latest weekly update that the white nail perk is going to be nerfed. Now, instead of keep getting three free rounds, it's going to take 3 rounds from your ammo pile. This is BS. Sign below if you want Bungie to keep the BH as it is.

why? i mean, i'm using it myself and i consider myself a decent sniper (actually use a bunch of different ones) so i do understand the impact of the nerf. but i don't get why everyone is so upset about it. white nail has always been kinda crap, never worked for a long time and even aftef it got fixed it remained very situational. how many bullets does it save in a real world (lol, sry no better term) scenario? usually, even if you land the 3 hits quick enough it still reloads for some reason. this is such a minor issue in my opinion. the perk (or gun) should be redesigned. it's a solid choice for a solar sniper if you don't have efrideet's spear with decent perks. but white nail isn't gonna make or break black hammer. as to why it's getting nerfed, i suspect for the same reason ice breaker gets nerfed. to disallow disproportionate dmg output on certain bosses. a decent sniper can unleash insane amounts of dmg on bosses with a designated crit spot. limiting that somewhat seems like an obvious thing to me. i mean, with a high impact sniper you can crit atheon for 23k. do the math, if the relic holder is good you can get off like 10 shots or more, depending on your reload speed. ice breaker limits it to like 8 shots due to the regen. black hammer? tons of hits due to the fire rate and no reload. you can still empty an entire mag into a boss and usually there are enough ammo pickups around to keep you going. so why is this such a big issue?

I denounce this petition. Black Hammer should not be more powerful than Icebreaker, and this tuning will make sure of that.

Signed. But my two cents man: they have to nerf these guns so that when new weapons come out in TK, we actually want to use them. My theory is that greens/blues will start dropping with higher stats than current Legendaries and Exotics and that's how they'll force out old guns. I feel like there's a reason they keep saying 'Year 1' guns.

You realize that BH shouldn't have the same power as an exotic right? This makes it so it fits right in the class of legendary weapons. If it was an exotic I'd fight it all the way, but being a legendary this is a perfect nerf. Its still a damn good gun.

When you think about it, its not that bad. BH will have 21-26 rounds. If you can't take down a boss with that many bullets then the gun ain't the problem.
