I really don't see why this is getting nerfed at all. Who can convince me? It makes no sense...

It was a cheap way to kill a boss literally all u had to do was sit there and hit a precision hit with every shot and not have to worry about ammo.

Any gun that can completely stunlock a boss for the entirety of a boss fight is broken and should be fixed.

It's the best boss killer in the game besides gally, and it's a legendary not exotic. it's better than most exotic weapons. It sucks its being nerfed, but anybody saying it wasn't the go to to absolutely wreck bosses is kidding themselves.

Its in exotic in every way besides its title. Make it exotic and i see it pretty balanced. I mean if you have a good enough aim its better than black hammer

I doubt I use it after it gets the nerf, I don't use it much now. I'll just use my spear or long bow if I need a high impact sniper.

In their minds they don't want 1 goto weapon. Instead of making better weapons they do lazy things like this. It'll happen again.

I mean I love it. Everyone does, it's the boss killer. But let's face it, being able to pretty much stun lock almost everything is kinda over powered.

Got 2 BH's. Rarely ever use them. Won't affect me at all. Besides, taking a tank down without reloading is just a bit OP, don't ya think?

The problem is stun locking bosses from a safe distance and having infinite ammo at the same time.

Well it is extremely broken and it brings destiny back to the loot cave. Bungie said they removed the loot cave because they did not imagine destiny as staring at a black hole holding the trigger. In the same sense, they would not want destiny to be a game where you endlessly fire at a stun locked archon priest for 3 minutes straight. Black hammer has always been unbalanced and has always needed this fix

A legendary was outperforming an exotic in its own niche. Either the two weapons swap classification or the legendary gets nerfed

I really have no idea, the BH is powerful but very situational when it comes to strike, nightfall, PoE bosses but I've never thought while using the weapon " holy shit, this is so easy, this weapon is completely OP." I think it works just fine as it is but like you I have no experience in what TTK has to offer so maybe the blackhammer adjustment will be made for a common good. I'm trying not to be pessimistic and assume Bungie is killing old weapons to make room for new TTK weapons which hopefully are more diverse and engaging.

I reckon it's because bungie doesn't want us to finish their raid so quickly, by beefing black hammer and ghorn it's going to be a lot more difficult.
