I really don't see why this is getting nerfed at all. Who can convince me? It makes no sense...
-
it'll be easier to convince you to quit the game.
-
Its a marketing scheme. They make every single good old weapon dull and terrible and make the new ones amazing and op pretty much forcing you to buy the dlc
-
When they say "space magic" they actually mean magic. If the gun specifically doesn't say something like "this weapon regens ammo over time" or "3 successful precision shots grant 3 magic bullets back into the chamber" it shouldn't come from no where.
-
In the hands of a good sniper, it's the single best sniper rifle in the game period. It gives you completely unlimited ammo with zero reload at a rather quick fire rate. I've seen snipers much better than myself run entire raids using it as a primary.
-
So if you have the current black hammer and the new poe sniper rifle which one would you use? Black hammer right? Then what was the point in bungie making the new sniper rifle if the old one was better anyway? Now with ttk coming up don't you think there will be new weapons? That bungie might want us to actually use? Why would we use them if black hammer was still as good as it is now? -end-
-
Heaven forbid you have to go pick your own ammo up instead of pulling it from another dimension
-
The white nail perk, as it stands, is more exotic. If they didn't nerf the perk to take ammo from your reserve, it would likely at least be made into an exotic weapon.
-
Edited by Fenix_2790: 7/30/2015 9:50:24 PMI would image it makes a lot of PVE gameplay faster, which Bungie doesn't want.
-
Bungie could. But nope! There not going to for some reason
-
Your average hardcore gamer can get rid of a sponge boss in 5-10 seconds. That's not how bungie wanted us to finish a "boss"
-
I agree. The actual situations where you can get three crits in 2.5 seconds are not that common. Mostly tanks, a few bosses. Just think of it as a tank burn perk.
-
Agreed. It's the one weapon change out of 2.0 that really has me scratching my head. There's literally no reward to white nail if it uses your reserve ammo. I thought BH was one of the better-designed weapons in the game. It's too bad they're destroying it like this.
-
Phogoth, Aksor, Sepiks, Walkers, all of these can be stun-locked/killed without ever needing to move. It's OP.
-
Lemee see. I can legitimately sit back on a strike and endlessly spam sniper rounds on the boss until he is dead. I literally counted 42 consecutive hits on sepiks prime without reloading. Sooooooo does that seem legit or balanced to you. If so, you win the I want PVE to be easy award. Congratulations.
-
If they are going to ruin the White Nail perk, the least they could do is make the other perk something other than Mulligan. Maybe Unflinching or Hidden Hand?
-
Legendary with and exotic perk
-
Yeah, black hammer is RNG just like Gjallahorn, and it basically just helps shorten the bullet sponge bosses time to die. And it's only good with skilled players who consecutively get critical guys, no need to NERF it. But Thorn...that thing deserves it.
-
Remember back when bungie talked about how they were making changes solely based on balancing players interaction? How does changing a pve only buff fix player vs player interactions?
-
It's a legendary that could be classed as Exotic because of the unlimited ammo
-
Can any1 justify IB nerf???? Ppl r just gonna camp for longer periods of time... -_-... bungievision...
-
Bungie shouldn't touch Black Hammer`s stats or perks, just promote it to exotic.
-
This.
-
I think Bungie is tired of people finding ways to beat the game so quickly. They have this unrealistic idea of what their game is and it's completely half assed at that. I would compare the boss fights in this game to getting soda at a drive through, it's filled to the top with ice and a small amount of soda. They're trying to stretch out what they can to make money off of it. If they really want this game to last ten years they better use the money they got from cheating us out of content to make something substantial. Their current solution is to make every weapon suck and make every boss have ridiculous amounts of heath to make you waste time.
-
Ajustment, not nerf. Its a balance to a op weapon. If people want there weapons to carry to future gens, they got to let bungie balance stuff.
-
-
can you justify why it needed to have infinite ammo possibility? so you have to pick up a brick every now and then.
