You are mistaken. The update is still in playtesting. If there is any time to make a change, it is now!

Trust me, nothing is gonna change before it drops. They wouldn't have announced the changes unless they were sure they were gonna do it. They said they are happy with the way the guns are performing in playtesting. They are not gonna change it just because we are complaining about a change that hasn't happened yet.
