In protest Gally owners should all make Gally only groups from now on.
If you own a Gally only play with other Gally owners. That way all the people who wanted the nerf but at the same time always want your help can't get it.
Edit 1: In my experiences most of the people starting groups saying you must have a ghorn are looking for help not elitist. It's people who can't play the game asking for the help of the almighty rocket launcher that have caused the problem so let them do it on their own.

Crota- There [b]NO NEED[/b] for 4-5 ghorns for Crota. You can solo him with one! More than that is wasted damage since he's immune after his shields are down. Hunger of Crota is the best option for fireteams. It's more than sufficient. If you're going to require an exotic weapon, people should require [b]Red Death![/b] That way everyone on your fireteam can regenerate health for the boss. Skolas- When will people learn that this battle is not about DPS. He is not the typical bullet sponge. It's about timing, communication, and movement. You have to take out ads and time when to bring his health down to prepare for the mines. Any heavy weapon is fine. Honesty I like Thunderlord or MIDA the best for Skolas. MIDA gets you out of some very sticky situations, and Thunderlord can also be very useful on the ads as well as Skolas.

I'm ok with this, gally is a trophy that is earned and should be the most powerful. The whiners just made it worse for themselves, that's what they get for crying.

I don't have a gjally but I'm am completely against the nerf because the logic is terrible. Here's my point if the people who complain about a weapon being to powerful are bad at this game or if they are not good with let's say the thorn or the last word and then bungie nerfs these particular guns and then said complainers play the game and are still not good what was solved? absolutely nothing except to piss off the people who have grinded to get these weapons. So all it does is punish the good players and then does nothing to elevate the bad players so everyone loses. Currently there is an even playing field and after the nerf it will still be a level playing field so nothing has been gained but god forbid we introduce logic into this. Signed someone who doesn't have a gjally but if I ever get 1 would prefer that it isn't ruined.

Bosses taking longer / harder to kill = even more groups requiring gjallarhorn. Point is.....this nerf actually hurts players that don't have it much more than those who do. That is unless they nerf gjallarhorn to below the level of other launchers.....but even nerfed, it is still prob going to be the strongest.

Cast our minds back to the VoG and Crota's End glory days. Gjallarhorn was never a requirement for VoG. As for Crota's End, yes the elitism was there. However, most fireteam leaders were content with 2-3 Gjallarhorns in the team and after that the rest just made up the numbers. Now with the PoE where the loot is bad and there are more difficult/convoluted final boss encounters (particularly Skolas) with more unnecessary ads and a reduced fireteam compared to the Raids, no wonder its Gjallarhorn only. Yes the PoE can be completed without Gjallarhorn, but I think the main reason it is required in most fireteams as people want to be done as fast as possible. People are not playing Destiny for the enjoyment anymore, it is a unexplainable obsession in trying to acquire particular loot as fast as possible. Don't believe me? Start the VoG Fresh and the majority of the Fireteam will quit at the Gorgon Maze. Go onto the LFG/forums and most people are looking for Skolas CP, Gorgon Maze, Atheon, Deathsinger or Crota. Gjallarhorn's Wolf Pack Rounds will be nerfed. It's initial blast hits as hard as any other Rocket Launcher in the game, but the Wolf Pack Rounds are where it shines. Apparently they are reducing the WP Rounds damage by 33% in which it will still remain supreme. What will now happen is that Raids teams will now require 6 players with Gjallarhorn to make up for the lost damage if only 2 or 3 players were using it.

2 RepliesActually it's Elitist people like you, who refuse to play with people without a Gally that got gally nerfed, along with every other person who's ever posted a "Must have gally" post. I've Never had a Gally, nor will I enter the bungie code. And I've never had an issue completing ANY End game material without a gally. Gally elitists ( those who refuse to play with others who don't have a Gally) are lazy and want to put in the least amount of work to get stuff done. When the only reason you even have a gally, unless you bought it from Xur. Is because you got lucky with RNG. There is NO Earning gear with a RNG based rewards system. Yea, you can increase your chances of getting one by having 3 characters and running everything 3 times a week. But it's still Random.
