Thorn will now take three shots to kill in pvp. It deals one third its original tick damage. Two shots, the old standard, will do two thirds the original tick damage, which will not kill. It only effects body shot ttk, which is still acceptable, as it increases headshot ttk. Combine that to the nerf in hand cannon damage fall off, and thorn is effectively nerfed in pvp. In pve though, needing the tick damage would make it less useful. So in pve, the tick damage was buffed by two thirds. Black hammer and gjallerhorn may go down in pve usefulness, but maybe thorn will go up.

  • Yes the DoT damage was decreased, but you can now have 5 separate DoTs on you at once instead of 1.

  • Yes, but that just effects pve, as it takes three hits to get the dot up to its original potency. In other words, you don't get a better dot until your fourth hit. In pvp, you've won by your fourth hit anyways. If you read my post, you will notice it said that the dot is 1/3 as effective. Do the math
