So everyone is going on about the weapons rebalancing. The way I see it is that the solution is too have different setups for PvP and PvE. A buff or a nerf to a gun can mean it is better for PvE but terrible for pvp. Why not have 2 different setups for both pvp and PvE? Keep everyone happy. I never play pvp, as an example the nerf to the blackhammer means im not going too enjoy it as much now in PvE, but I can sort of see why its been done for pvp. weapon rebalancing will always be a tricky subject, but bungie are going about this in the wrong way.

All this granular, across the board weapon balancing is out of control and totally unnecessary. This new patch will have essentially ruined every single decent PVE weapon in this game, because someone decides to use it as a preferred weapon or PVP players complain about it? I refuse to support such self-destructive regression. I'll be glad to know what date the new patch pushes, because that will be my last day. I'm so glad I didn't order TTK yesterday. What a shame. The Bungie sand box kids should have found a way to sort PVP out and left PVE alone, as there were no complaints from the PVE camp. This was such a good game before the weapons "balancing" started. Good luck with a 10yr plan..

Gjallarhorn has needed a nerf for a long time and should have never been in the game the way it was. No one weapon should ever have 4 times the damage of all of the other weapons in it's class. But the changes to Ice Breaker and Black Hammer have made them both completely not worth using. What they should have done was buffed both of them: Black Hammer's ammo reserve should have been increased to 21 rounds instead of 15 and Ice Breaker's ammo reserve should have been increased to 8 rounds instead of six.

YES! PvE should have different weapon balancing than PvP!

Thats what happens when you try to be everything to everyone, you end up just looking stupid. They are nerfing the black hammer because it is too powerful in PVE, nothing to do with PVP. What I don't understand is why they always give us something unique and when we use it how it's intended they say "oh no, we can't have you doing that!" then take it away. No one complains that a weapon is too powerful in PVE but the squeaky wheel gets the grease so all the balancing is purely because 1) PVP players are squeaky whiners & 2) Our ability to make use of things they have given us repeatedly exceeds their programing skills and expectations.

I say everyone that bitched gets nerfed and the rest stay the same just weed out the cry babies
