Nerfing Gjallarhorn will lead to extreme elitism
Bungie nerfs Gjally, Gjally still reigns supreme.
Gjally does less DPS, so it'll become more relevant, since everyone in your fireteam will need one to output as much DPS as possible.
More and more posts with Gjally only will emerge on LFG.

@Deej or @Cozmo : you're reading this? Elitism will prevail unfortunately. Go report that back to your game designers ;-)

15 RepliesAll i know is that the same people who want to be carried through stuff 1-3 at a time are the same people who complained enough to have this happen. My team was always more than happy to backpack people through every raid, poe, and nightfalls in hopes that they would receive there desired trophies. Now this limits the amount of people we can sherpa through because of a lack of fire power. Sure we can get the confluxes and crota done with 3 ppl but time is always of the essence. If i have to solo left conflux or im the only person who can shoot crota and run distraction bubble then gues what 50% of my team needs the proper gear to handle themselves. Making the ghorn have lower standards isn't the solution bc gues what? The ENEMY still has the same amount life. Thats the issue! The reason we need crutches is to handle the added WEIGHT that goes with CARRYING less experienced players through. If bungie truly wants to end the elitism then treat the relationship in level between adds and guardians mutual! If they can ruin me when im 3 levels below then it should be mutual the other way! Other than that dps is about the time it takes to finish. Get a raid in when you can. If i only have a couple hours then im gonna get the team together thatll do the most the quickest especially if i can only get 3-5 players at that moment. Bungie if you want mentors to teach, train and help then give us back the tools we need to do that! #bungie #mybackhurts

I never cared whether people in my team had gallys I had one and was content with just the one but now if I even keep playing this game I will have to be an elitist so I can kill the bosses do to my sudden lack of damage I will only play with others who have the gally

I completed both Raids on Hard over 20 times before a Gjallarhorn dropped for me. It was not even required when a team of 29s killed Atheon for the first time on Hard. So it is certainly not required for a level 34. And I have also completed Skolas without using. Last week with Small arms and Lightswitch I pretty much used Fang of Ir Yut for the entire fight. (On that fight it was far more useful than Gjallarhorn). There is nothing in the game that requires it.

This game is gonna be ruined by all this nerfing bungie has no clue how to make video games anymore it rubbed off on Activision with last call if duty game I'm done with this game and I'm done with bungie every game they make from now on will be complete shit to me destiny is now a joke

It really comes down to how much they nerf the Wolfpack rounds. A small nerf won't change anything. If it is nerfed a lot it won't really be relevant enough to require for a group. I'm fine with a nerf on it I just want more exotics that will compete with it so we can have more variety.

1 ReplyBungie says they won't do match making because random groups can't handle the harder game modes. They point us to Destiny LFG and places like it. People go on there and request players with Ghorn. Bungie then loses it's mind.

What a huge fing screw up Bungie. You took the coolest game ever, the only game that has ever held my interest more than a month, and you shi$ canned it. You don't see it yet and the fan boys will deny it till their blue in the face, but they just made this game like every other game.

As Destin Legarie said on IGN: these exotic weapons are partly the reason why you work so hard to obtain and that feeling of power when using those weapons will be lost once they're nerfed.

When I'm running PoE for the 30th time I want to get it done quick so I like to use the bubble shield/Gjallarhorn tactic. It makes the bosses, which I've beaten 30 times already, dead in 30 seconds. The thing is you don't need 3 Gjallarhorns, 2 gallies and another rocket will do. Debut depending on the nerf, it could well be a situation where you do need 3 Gjallarhorns to do the quick strategy.

2 RepliesThis doesn't make it past the common sense theory. So far, here's the train of thought. Elitists who want everyone to have gjally to output as much damage as possible, suddenly want more gjallys in their team to do as much damage as possible. It's not about simply adding up enough damage to kill a boss, it's always about DPS and elitists will always want all gjally and people who don't care for that, won't suddenly require gjally because theirs doesn't do as much damage. The idea that there are people who require gjally who finish content won't change or grow because a weapon is nerfed. I think it'll decrease because the damage variance won't be as high. Unfortunately... One outcome that is inevitable is the Crota Solo. I wonder how this will be impacted.
