This is true, but instead of ruining the soul of this weapon why not make more interesting weapons of choice?

I mean you can still fire 18 rounds or however many as fast as possible. Pop a synth or do an ammo run, do it again and the encounter will probably be over.

You can do that with any sniper, the perk speed reload is almost instant with gear
