Even if they added matchmaking the obsession with Gjallarhorn would still have created the same thing, AFKers would be everywhere, people would inspect their teammates and just leave if they didn't like what they saw. Nothing would change.

I know, I don't want more friends. I just want to play a nightfall and bounce. But you Bungie make it hard to access half your content. You think most LFGers become friends? It's a lame excuse to push people to a website for hits, that you probably have a stake it. Makes me sick.

We're already paying to pay online in the first place, you would think matchmaking for an online fps is a given. [spoiler]No matchmaking is the future right? ,:^)[/spoiler] I don't think having to use an external tool to understand the story or match up with random people was a good idea. I think implementing optional matchmaking into everything could improve this game by so much. That way everyone can play every game mode and if they choose to, play with randoms through the game's own matchmaking mechanism. LFG doesn't have to go anywhere. It can still be a great way to better understand the random people you want to play with. Sometimes I wonder if Bungie really made it this way on purpose. Maybe there was an issue down its development line and that issue was never resolved.
