Have you read the Great Gatsby? Many hold that it uses a lot of eloquent words, filling up pages upon pages of the book, right? Critics hold that Fitzgerald was too wordy, to the point a whole chapter described what could be said in a few sentences, does that make sense? According to the definition of verbose, could we not call the author of the Great Gatsby verbose? Don't you think verbose can be likened to intelligent and arrogant simultaneously? Upon your usage of the word, did you mean to call me intelligent or arrogant?
