I don't like that they nerfed blackhammer either but the reason they nerfed thorn, tlw, hawk moon was because those where the go to, obvious weapons to use in crucible and they didn't want that. When fighting bosses like the ones you just described ex. Devil walker what is the obvious weapon to use? BlAckhammee ofcourse and they wanted to get rid of obvious weapons to use in both pvp and pve.
