Dude I'm assuming you didn't read the patch notes? Nerco is getting a buff. I won't judge it until I see its new performance in comparison to other AR's I don't need to wait for a comparison of how icebreaker will perform because I already know it's been sub par compared to BH and being as both are getting nerfed instead of just BH that implies they have not corrected the problem at all.
What I don't understand is bungies obsessed with balancing the USE of weapons instead of the tiers. They shouldn't be looking at the usage of thorn in comparison to other guns in general but the balancing the tier that it resides in (primary exotic hand cannon) meaning that all that fit in that category should be different but relatively equal in usefulness. Thorn, hawkmoon and last word should perform the same but be measurably better than any other hand cannons in the game. What is the current point of an exotic if it performs the same as a legendary or worse? A prime example of this in current play IS necro as it's completely -blam!-ing useless and outclassed by literally every other AR including those that "evolve" into it! Exotic is a weapon class that should supersede the type class so that it out performs peak stats for that type class. There's a reason we're only allowed to equip one exotic and that's because they are supposed to be OP no exotic except the current ghorn classifies as such.
Short version: exotics die with year one
