You do realise if they nerf it into the ground, that will completely stop any kind of gally elitism? Of people are gonna behave like this, I wouldn't be surprised if they nerfed wolfpacks by 80% or more.

Don't attack me bro ;-) I can live without my Gjally, it would become a trophy in the vault. Most people are angry on the reasoning behind the nerf. Of course we can find other guns close to Gjally, but don't hide behind 'we don't want anyone feel left behind on LFG' excuse. If that's so, give us optional matchmaking, or at least acknowledge you made the mistake of not putting it in there.

Yeah but I think it was just bad design on their part as well. This player base should never have been given a gun that powerful. I feel they should just nerf it into the ground and we can all move past Gally. I have 2 btw and still feel this way.

Plausible reasoning though. It would be a shame of this gun, but rendering it useless will make getting over it a lot easier. On the other hand you'll get a lot of angry people on the forums... Still it's Bungie's game and they can do so as they please. Nerf Gjally, go ahead, but at least be honest towards your loyal playerbase as what the real reason is (as honest as you can be).

Yeah but looking at the comments on these forums, none of them deserve having a gun like the Gally. It has gone to their heads. This game would be better off without it.

I thought about that as well, and you're probably right. But we have it now, so how to deal with it without upsetting the whole community. Make the endgame content have more mechanics like a relic or something. It requires a different skillset than just nuking everything with the Gjally.

They tried to do that with Skolas and look what happened. Either way there will be a new set of players that join with TTK, and they won't know about Gally at all. I hope most of the idiots promoting elitism as a form of retaliation leave. I'm pretty sure Bungie doesn't want such a toxic playerbase in their game anyways. Why do you think they tend to reply on reddit and not here?

The game got hard and everybody needed Gjally. But even you have to admit that PoE was a big big big fail on Bungie's part even besides Skolas. They didn't think it through, because you know if you put Solar Burn on, everyone will be using Gjally (if they own one). Not to mention the so-called random modifiers, please Hive with Lightswitch.... Most of those 'new' elitists aren't even bad guys, they're just angry that they invested so much time (the grind is real, damn), yet they get screwed over again (Suros gone, Vex gone, introducing Radiant materials etc.). Off topic: finally a sane person with a different opinion with whom you can genuinely have a discussion about the game with. Props for you, my friend.

Yeah right back at you man, some of the posts at the moment are completely insane. I got my Gally at around 15 days played, and know how shit it was finding a group on LFG before so completely agree with what they are doing. Also because I finished literally every activity in the game (including Skolas) without a Gally, I don't agree the game was so hard that people needed it. Crota hard was completely doable without a single Gally before HoW. So was Skolas. The power of Gally just went to peoples heads. I think getting rid of it will be a good, fresh start to TTK. Tbh though I'm still pissed about international pricing so may not even buy it.
