Hard Light is a beloved weapon. We want it to be better. The new flexibility we have with Damage Falloff as an independently tuned value gave us a great new avenue to push this exotic a little bit harder into its fantasy.
Changes:
Increase base Stability to 80 (was 65)Increase bounce count for Hard Light projectilesHard Light projectiles are not affected by Damage Falloff
Above are the changes that are going to be made too Hard Light via TTK
Now from what I can take away from these changes, I think they will significantly increase the usability of the weapon and help it contend with other Auto rifles and weapons in both PVP and PVE, but what this weapon still lacks is an exotic perk that makes it feel...EXOTIC! STAY WITH ME NOW,An idea I had was a buff of the Hard light exotic perk "Volatile Light" where "Rounds fired from the weapon overpenertrate targets and ricochet on hard surfaces". Now I'm not sure if this should be a change to this perk specificly or for the ricochet perks in general, but as it stands now if you do utilize the ricochet perk there isn't really any incentives to do so, my proposition is that the perk be buffed so that if a ricochet round hits an enemy it should do some type of additional damage, whether it be x2 or x.5 or what ever. The point is that they should be some type of bonus to using the round skillfully (or just being lucky). Granted, I'm not sure how good Hard Light will be after the update, this additional non the less would make the use of the perk more rewarding, encouraging the use of new play styles. I've also linked some videos of me screwing around with Hard Light on Cosmodrome. Trying to show off the perk as much as I could. Please tell me what you guys think if this would be something the community would like to see. Thanks for reading :)

To Summarize: You believe that richochet's shots should get a damage bonus, like a "trick shot" ?

Imagine 3 people capturing and contesting bravo on any control map. Titan uses ward of dawn. All three have hard light with field scout. They just spam the bubble with their bullets haha

Make it so hardlight rounds pierce targets, great for crowds and doubling your damage against an enemy if that enemy is near a wall

With the changes they intend hard light is already going to be crazy baller. Additional damage on ricocheted shots is a bad bad idea. They will bounce an additional time without damage falloff. That's already plenty extreme and 'exotic'.
