If you're one of those, "I'm requiring Gjallerhorn now," guys, just stop.
Lemme make this real simple: Bungie nerfs the Gjallerhorn because Raid groups were too stubborn about who can and can't join their games, basically who has Gjallerhorn and who doesn't.
The scummy part of this community goes, "Durr hurr, I'm gonna require Gjallerhorn even more now to teach Bungie a lesson!"
Bungie says, "It looks like Gjallerhorn is [i]still[/i] the go-to weapon for Raid groups, so we're gonna nerf it some more."

But by all means, if you're so afraid to do endgame content without Gjallerhorn, be my guest, and get your precious rocket launcher nerfed into the ground.

Your forgetting the so called newbies who lie way to often about going through a raid and then you unfortunately have to kick them and then they go tell bungie it's a never ending cycle remember when all of us actually had to work to become 32 house of wolves has completely ruined it when the newbies accept that fact and say hey iv never been through a raid and say I want to learn ..... it may never change but house of wolves has ruined what we all felt together the struggle was real and to compensate the lies from people they require you to have so and so w.e to play so you at least no alil but ulas they still don't know the stuggle not being an ass just stating

5 RepliesI have never required a ghally or think it's necessary to complete anything, but from now on I will require a ghally for any activity. I don't care if it's iron banner, VoG normal, or PoE 32...no ghally, no group. All of you whiney kids who would rather whine about a weapon than grind for it are pathetic and now you will be completely excluded from everything. It's no longer about needing the weapon. It's now about spiting the complainers that got the weapon nerfed.

18 RepliesNO THEY DIDN'T nerf the gally because of raid groups asking for it. Stop being so naive. They have done numerous tinkering with numerous weapons but left the gally because they wanted people to keep playing to obtain it. They have had more than enough time to nerf that weapon (should have been done when Crota raid was out and having a gally was a necessity) but didn't. They are nerfing it because they don't want any old weapons competing with the new ones (new carrots on sticks) and by passing the blame on to the player base for requiring this weapon for end game content it then shifts the anger away from them and leaves us biching at each other.

It has stopped dip shit. I never see the must have g-horn anymore. It was need for the first few weeks of HOW and dark blow but that was only till we figured everything out.

I barely use it. So i'll be rocking dragons breath but requiring gjallerhorn for a while. I hayt when bungie nerfs. Its always a step (or launch) in the wrong direction.

You're required to have a 300 DAMAGE Gjallarhorn to join my Fireteam. If you have one of those OP 365 DAMAGE ones then you're off the team!

Good post, there are a few jerks in this game that insist on making requirements for weapons or level to do raid etc. Usually people that make these requirements lack skill and ability. They think they can make up for there shortcomings by having max level people with Gallys. But everyone here has done a raid with max level player that has no clue what they are doing. I never put requirements out there. I would rather have a nice group of people to play with and have fun, so what if it takes a little longer to get something done. Last time I looked I wasnt getting paid to play.

Unless we gonna get another rocket that's as good or better than the ghorn in the new update, then the ghorn nerf is not justified.

People are going to require Gjallarhorn more because it's an elitist weapon which means that people are going to want it in their group also for the amount of damage it deals regardless of the nerf to wolf pack rounds which won't even be that big of a nerf. Bungie didn't nerf it because it was hard to get into raids without it, they nerfed it because everyone was complaining about it and being little bitches. They just created a bigger problem though for people without the Gjallarhorn because now it's going to be required by a lot of people to get things done just as easy
