Leave it to Bungie to not have matchmaking on everything but cite complaints about people having their own requirements over who's in their fireteam. I have a G-horn but I beat Crota numerous times with a mix of Hunger/Valedictorian/Exodus Plan, even while being L31 when the cap was 32. Did I not get into fireteams at times? Sure. Did it stop me from being persistent? No. As a result, I learned how to solo the abyss, build a bridge and not die, and not get killed during the Deathsinger and Crota. Now, when I try to join a team and they drop the "G-horn required," I tell them "Yep, I sure do, but nevermind."
