You just need to understand my frustration when a thread about jousting gets more fruition than something that will determine and influence future gaming industry decisions. If Bungie are allowed to overcharge millions of gamers with DLC, what's to stop other developers from thinking[i] 'We should do that too, there's more money in it for us this way.'[/i]

It's not bungie that controls the pricing it's activision that controls the marketing and pricing. You'll be best heard on activisions forums/help pages
