The size of the metallic object seems to be about 6x5. There is no echo when you step on it, so you know it's not hollow.

((You may move the grass)) You dig the grass off of the top of the object, getting dirt under your fingers, but you only uncover the back of the steel object, and what seems to be hinges to a metal appendage that goes deeper into the ground.

Years of instinct take over and I spin around aiming the Obituary at the newcomers head. Funny how a bit of paranoia was the preface for this encounter. "Who's this?" I quickly call out, never taking my sight off of the stranger.

The TACPAD shows multiple thugs in the area, outfitted with military grade weapons, heat signatures show their immune to the effects of a Psion's telekinetic abilities.

You enter the cave as Shift told you to. You hop along the wet coastal rocks and into the cave. You find a sandbar to rest on. You examine the insides of the cave: -The only thing you see is an algae-covered device implanted on a wall at the far side of the cave, along the sandbar.

I examine the device. "Old tech I think to myself?" I wipe the algae, and I use my TACPAD to scan the device.

It looks to be an image scanner. Interesting.

I hear a noise behind me and instinctively draw the obituary. It was nothing more than a fish jumping "Don't worry I've got our six if something goes wrong, keep me updated on what Jack's men say." [spoiler]on board with waiting for story, just adding flavor[/spoiler]
