[MENTOR] Error Code Caterpillar, Cattle, Banjo, and You
Hello everyone,
We've noticed an influx in people posting about error code Caterpillar (as well as Cattle). Most of you have stated you're from south-eastern USA. Could you please provide your console, region (in this case general area or state), and ISP so we can help track down the source of this issue?

[spoiler]Alright, based on what I've seen and gathered here, it is most likely on Comcast's end. This could be caused by a number of things, many of which may not be their fault since we don't know the actual cause of the issue. However, since it's seemingly on Comcast's end, there's really nothing we (as gamers) can do but wait it out.
I looked around a bit and you're not the only ones reporting issues. As linked above and below, Comcast seems to be having a lot of issues on their end.

I'm on 360 and use Time Warner Cable as my ISP. I'm located in Ohio. The game is basically unplayable at this moment. I just bought it Sunday the 19th and have had unbelievably brutal disconnects since. I have noticed that its semi limited to trying to do the weekly heroic missions(almost a guaranteed disconnect) and then intermittent disconnects throughout other actions as well (Crucible seems to have the fewest). Please Help, I just want to play. I've done literally every troubleshooting step I've found online, both the Bungie and Microsoft steps.

1 ReplyI have a feeling this might, [b]MIGHT[/b], be a modem issue. I used to have these issues. I got a newwr modem and our error codes disappearred. The old modem was motorola surfboard. Its typically a free upgrade anyways. They will replace it with a signature, OR, or a phone call...generally speaking.

Yeah so I'm in north western Kansas and I have time Warner and I get caterpillar then when I try to log back in it says canary. This just started happening maybe a week ago and my internet is pretty stable. Is this a common problem and what should I do.

I am in North Carolina-Greensboro area. Time Warner Cable is my provider. Xbox One console. I have a solid 20meg connection. EVERYTHING ELSE EXCEPT DESTINY WORKS. Keep getting caterpillar error.
