Well, obviously the [i]actual[/i] ultimate way to watch the SW movies is to skip the prequels because they pretty much betray the character's and how they're framed and set up in the original trilogy. And get the laser disc version to avoid all of GL's meddling. The prequels are garbage and the entire prequel story was told quite fine by Obi Wan's few sentences of reminiscing.

Aye, I'd rather have a good friend (who presumably doesn't murder children pre-dark side) who was seduced (rather than tricked, like in the prequels) to the dark side than what we got.

He doesn't have any good in him and he deserves to die in the end. And you're right, he was supposed to be seduced, not duped. He basically comes off as a selfish, power hungry, creepy, horny, betraying, autistic man-brat that was a bad egg from the word go. Ugh.
