Its obvious that it was a mistake to make blackhammer like this since most of the people just sit on their asses all day with it.
-
But that's the thing. Bungie makes these guns the way they are. Players use the advantages these guns create. Then bungie gets mad because players are burning through strikes and raids. Same thing with gally. The reason these weapons are awesome is because of their distinct advantages. Take them away and what is the point of having different weapons. IMO if bungivision was so focused on balanced weapon stats then they should've stayed with preset class weapon load outs. That's the only way to ensure that each weapon is fair and balanced
-
Well bungie has even said it themselves that players find ways to "break the game" (not an exact quote). They playtest these weapons but i doubt they knew blackhammer would make everyone camping vegetables, and that goes for all the other broken weapons too.
-
But that's the thing. How can it be broken if it was built that way. That's like saying 4th horseman is broken when your killing a major with a full burst. These weapons are designed like this. And in bungies words we are playing the game how we want to play. Become legend the way we wish to. If they were worried that we would just hunker down and hit criticals until a boss dies maybe they need to create a strike or raid that requires more then the standard " shoot em till they r dead" design. I bring to light the Taniks strike. Granted it still uses the bully sponge boss but that boss is fought through the entire strike. Not just the end. My point is. If bungie is mad that players are resorting to using weapons how they were used and originally designed in order to end these sponges quickly and move on. The answer is not make weapons weaker, make a more challenging fight
-
Thats not how they want you to play. Think for a second, why would bungie nerf it if that's what they wanted? Oh wait they wouldn't becuase thats NOT what they want.
-
If bungie is concerned with players finding ways around the game. Then they should focus on those who abuse this " lag switch" or many such other technical issues
-
Umm thats hard to combat, and lag switches aren't AS common ad people put it out to be. Probably just bad connection.
-
Then why did they make it in the first place. I ask you this. If you were handed the keys to some exotic sports car and given free reign of a raceway with the instructions " drive how you want". What would you do?
-
Drive it, but if i ended up racing it and i was just meant to drive in it and bungie only wanted me to just drive it, then i would be doing something they didnt intent to happen.
-
Racing. Exactly. Because you were under the impression that's what they wanted you to do. Now how would you feel if they stopped you and told you yes you could drive it. But that's not what they wanted you to do. So now you can only drive 50 mph
-
Well it's probably both parties fualt for not clarifying the purpose of the vehicle. Bungie didn't want to divide the community and turn half of them into vegetables. Thats why they got nerfed. They broke the game, and bungie didnt want the results.
